    if la gets Gp, do u think they will win another championship? they will hav Shaq(hopefully in shape), Kobe(only gettin bettr), and payton( what they need) and george is due for his "break out year"....

    the Lakers shouldn't go after GP. they've always needed a real PF to help out Shaq. that's been the one position on their roster that was never finalized throughout the season. they should attempt to get a decent big man. if they manage to get that and GP, they'll win a championship

    they might be worse with GP. everyones gonna want to shoot a lot. and kobes gonna be mad if GP hogs all his presicous assists so he deosnt look as versatile. all they need is shaq. even with GP they still dont beat the spurs with duncan and kidd. even if the epsurs sign JO or brand insead

    get real man..lakers would be worse with GP? they would be much better.....payton,shaq and kobe..sad to say but you can't stop that...

    GP is going to make the Lakers a lot better. He is a huge upgrade over Fisher, offensively & defensively. If he comes to the Lakers, Payton is going to understand his role and realize the team runs through Shaq. I don't think money is going to be an issue either. The Lakers can only offer him the MLE, but when you play in Los Angeles there are a lot of opportunities to make money outside of what the team can pay you. Rick Fox & Derek Fisher have a lot of commercial deals and have been able to get roles on TV shows. Payton will easily get marketing and sponsorship deals playing in Los Angeles.

    one benefit is that the lakers would get more of a contributiono out of everyone that's not named shaq or kobe, but the lakers dont need more of a backcourt contribution. they need to add more to their front court

    Problem i have with JO is he doesn't turn up in big games..he dissapears..can people really rely on him to come to play in the big games...if shaq is heathly and they sign GP...i hate to say it but they will likely win it..two superstars..+ allstar.....will be too much for spurs to overcome
