Does Anyone have a website that is accurate for NFL statistics becasue if you look at team sites then go to ESPN.com and look and the numbers vary. It is kind of annoying and was just curious if I'm missing out an accurate site.
NFL.com only takes you to your teams home page. Which differs from Espn on alot of numbers at least for the pats. I just find it weird because you'll never find a difference anywhere in baseball but football is totally inaccurate it seems.
teams have their own stats, because when they watch film they make their own sheet, so usually team sites have higher stats for players.
at least the eagles do their own. i go to them for my sources. for example NFL.com has michael lewis down for 85 tackles, Eagles have him for over 100.
I see cause I've heard Sports people in Boston Claiming 140+ tackles for Harrison all they way down to 94 on some sites. I just don't understand why baseball can break down how many home runs Varitek has hit from the right side, on the road, with 15mph winds going N-W, at night, on tuesdays in june, during the odd years of his career in a matter of minutes and football can't simply count tackles. I mean if you hit him alone its unassisted if you hit him and other guys help bring him down then just give the first two in a assisted tackle. I mean it's not that hard but it is quite aggravating to not be able to get an accurate number.
thats just about how the NFL counts tackles...I think NFL.com is the best site for accurate tackle totals....never trust a team sight for tackles, they inflate the totals...
Well I guess we have a modest team cus our team site does the opposite....Probably just another tool to try and keep contracts down.
when you look at your team site Pats, see if they seperate solos and assists....some sights do, some dont, some sites dont give credit for assists at all and some just list total tackles....I think if we all pay close attention to those factors, we might see that CBS, ESPN, and NFL.COM has very similar numbers....still, team sites are going to be different, and generally in the favor of the player....leave it to the Pats to take the brilliant step of highlighting team play instead of individuals by supressing those numbers and keeping costs down....BRILLIANT!!!
Ya they sperate Solo's and assists. It wouldn't surprise me if they did that cause they have to be the most creative staff in sports at getting what they want out of what they have and especially at staying out of cap trouble while spending right to the cap every season. It's amazes me sometimes how they can keep it all together especially with belichick doing both the coaching and the Personel decisions. Not without help obviously but he is the endall on every decision.
i dont think its amazing of how the pats control the cap, the way the redskins do is amazing. but stupid
Ok I'll give you that but it all comes crashing down in two or three years. All those huge bonus will be coming back to haunt you. We have no ghosts in our closet waiting to be released in the future. The Skins do though.
