    i think the best role player in the nba is Micheal Finley i hate him and the MAVs but he is one of the if not the best role player :thumbsup:

    donyell marshall. this season, he wasnt really a role player, but he's ideal. he doesnt care if he starts or comes off the bench. he contributes and doesnt whine about playing time.

    great topic!

    my vote is for david robinson

    he was a superstar and carried the spurs, scoring 25+ppg. he completely stepped aside for tim duncan because he realized duncan was even better. he swallowed his pride and never made it an issue. and the spurs have 2 titles now.

    one player that comes to mind in particular is....as much as i hate him...bruce bowen.

    plays great D and hits the open three...what more can you ask for in a role player?
