<div class="quote_poster">Quoting "shapecity":</div><div class="quote_post">nuggets actually had a strong defense last season. they ranked 9th in points per game allowed, they just sucked at the offensive end.

i think kobe could lead a team to the playoffs without shaq, he might even be able to win the championship without him. it just depends on who else is on the team. kobe can be the #1 option and win it all, but we won't know until this actually happens. we might find out if he doesn't re-sign. but either way this holds no value until it happens.

as for triple doubles last season KG had 6 and Kobe had 5 and Kidd was third with 4.

averaging 40 points per game and playing the required amount of games to make it count is near impossible. averaging 30ppg is hard enough. last year was the first time in 10 or 15 years two players averaged 30ppg. i think jordan and wilkens were the last to do it in the same season.</div>

Kobe Tmac AI and Pierce are all capable of doing 30ppg for a season but no way in hell could kobe to a championship without shaq. they couldnt even beat the spurs WITH shaq. hed need a whole lot of stars around him so he didnt have to carry the team or they wouldnt make the playoffs as shown by his 2-10 record trying to lead the team without shaq last year. i dont care if fox was hurt if kobe wsaa the best player in the league he could lead his team to at least a winning record or close to it. look what KG does with the guys around him. same with kidd. Shaq is what makes the lakers win. he chnages the whole complexion of the game because teams are so afraind of him
