Is Rick Fox's career "over?" Will Ricky ever be the same after that tragic injury? He won't play half of the next 2004 season. The Lakeshow drafted Walton likely as a replacement for Foxy. George is more athletic and smarter. There are more free agents on the market. Fox is cheap and is a great team player but he is just an intimidator now that will hit an occasionall 3-ball. So are Rick Fox's good playing days behind him? (I hope not!)
sorry ,but rick is one of the only players in the league i totally dislike[pau gasol] he migh'nt mind if his career is over or if he s just out next year,it s just a chance forr him to kick start a modeling career or acting[serious comment] i seen an interview on fox aggggges ago ,and he said if he is traded he'll retire w/o doubt
i don't think his career is over, but he is in a decline at this point and should consider retiring. his age really showed last year and the 4M he makes could be used on a better player. devean george is ready to be the starter, and walton will be solid off the bench. i think fox still has a lot to offer in working to help develop the younger players, and to provide support for the veterans in the locker room.
if he does come back, i dont think he'll be too effective. it's too bad because his defense was pretty decent. he was a great role player
if his career is over i dont think its a big deal for the lakers because Devean George is good and yeah Luke Walton can take his spot. I think he will play again but i dont think he will play better than he has..
If it is...he better tell the Lakers now. That way, they get to use his salary (which is more than $4,000,000) as an injury exception to sign a Free Agent. They could combine it with the MLE to offer Payton a multi-year contract worth around $9.6 million next season. But Fox's career isn't over, he'll be back next season.

I think that I meant to put that Walton was smarter?..

Can he come off the bench and put up 10 points on a good night or will he be a crusty vet who averages like 5ppg.?
