    ESPN's Ric Bucher reports that GP is to announce by Monday he's heading to LA. It was on ESPN news a while ago..I guess it was on espn.com chat board also..I don't have a link to it, but I saw someone else verify it also on another board:

    Congrats laker fans....but payton sold out for a ring..which i don't blame him for...kobe and shaq are getting that help they need..DAMN IT..

    Dude. No. I think what you meant to say is he has the potential to be better than Fish. If you have Pargo starting, you have problems.

    explain cuz i dont see it shaq,malone,payton and kobe will all avg 15 or more payton will give assists and steals to the team and malone will add more rebounds and the spurs have???duncan? ummm id take lakers in this

    hard to say. if payton and malone comes the lakers are better, the spurs are not going to be better. even if they get brand, kidd, or o'neal they won't beat the lakers. the spurs are going to miss not having david robinson around. and also the lakers have better youth with walton and cook on the team.

    The Lakers dont have better youth. what about tony parker and ginobli, then theres duncan hes not a geezer either. Theyre going to sign kidd oneal or brand maybe more than one. that will make them just as improved as the lakers and since theyre already better they should still be better. but yes its hard to say at this point. im just tsyaing its premature to engrave the lakers name on nextr years title already

    better youth than what they had last year is what i meant. all we need now is scottie pippen and we will have a starting lineup of 5 future hall of famers.
