ok... since this is that boring time when almost nothing is happening in the world(of football) ithought i might be able to get some opinions on what you guys think are the greatest moments in football history... i know i do this alot... these would be mine...(oh, and you dont need to be alive for them, if theyve been talked about that much...they must be good) #1. Super Bowl St. Louis vs Tennessee #2. 1980 American Olympic Team(ok i know im breakin my own rules...but from what i hear, absolutley nothing comes close to the excitement shared from that game) #3. Music City Miracle Tennessee vs Buffalo #4. Super Bowl New England vs Carolina #5. The Drive Denver vs. Cleveland #6. 4th and 26 Philadelphia vs Green Bay(had to throw that in there) #7. Last yrs. Wild Card Comeback Weekend 1. Pittsburgh vs. Cleveland 2. San Fran vs. New York #8. Divisional Playoffs St. Louis vs Carolina(2 O/T) #9. Wild Card Game I think 1992... Buffalo vs Houston Second Half Comeback #10. The joining of the Two leagues to form The NFL...(AFC/NFC not AFL/NFL) ok... #1. these are off the top of my head and i cant think of anything else... #2. No Specific Order
Where's "The catch"? "The immaculate reception"? How about the MNF Jets comeback vs. the Dolphins a few yrs. ago? I would agree with the merger. And the Buffalo comeback over Houston. Maybe the Music City miracle.
How about the buccaneers collapse on mnf vs the colts. We still are scratching our heads on how we lost that game. I think the most memorible one tho music city miracle. Wychek threw that foward ladderel pass to dyson as dyson ran it for a td, meanwhile the bills stand there in shock.

I don't remember exactly about the scores/amount of the comeback. Maybe a DWO member could shed some light. They probably remember. I just remember going to bed on the game and thinking it was ludicrous the next day when I heard about the comeback. I did catch the replays of the game later though.
That Kansas City/Green Bay game last year was one for the ages too. KC came back from a deficit of 10. Fell behind again and came back from 17 to go to OT. Ahman Green fumbled one and Green hit Kennison for the winning TD.
yea i watched that... it was great...i am an eagles fan but i like the chiefs a lot...so i was happy for em but i wouldnt consider top 10... it was a fun game to watch though
I probably wouldn't place that one in the top 10 either. I have a soft spot for Favre and the Pack too, but was glad yhe Chiefs pulled out the win.
A few years ago, the Dolphins hosted a Wild Card game against the Colts....the game went into OT, with the teams tied at 13(i think that was the score)...in OT, Miami moves the ball to around the Colts 20 yard line....Lamar Smith goes off right tackle and is met by a pair of Colts defenders, he runs through the pair and heads for the goalline....he meets a group of Colts just inside the 5 yards line and powers his way past them and into the endzone, the ball just breaking the plane of the goal...it was one of the greatest runs I have ever seen, and I jumped into the air as high as I could in excitement, and with no reguard for myself, threw my legs straight out....I then fell right on my ass in front of most of my family....one of my fondest football moments...
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Cowboy71)</div><div class='quotemain'>Don't forget the infamous memorable times...the Heidi game sticks out for TV viewers....</div> not ringin any bells... what is it?
oh boy....you must be one of our younger members....the "Heidi Game" was a contest between the NY Jets and the Oakland Raiders....the game went past NBC's alloted broadcast time, so they switched to the sunday night movie, which happened to be Heidi....Im not sure if the west coast lost the game, but Im positive that the east coast missed the end of that game....
I have the Music City Miracle on tape. And after years of review I conclude it was a lateral & not a forward pass.
For me it's the NFC Championship game between the Vikings and the Falcons, in 1998 I believe. Thats the year that Randall was the MVP. I still cant believe that Gary Anderson missed that FG. He hadn't missed one all year. That was heartbreaking. Plus, I really wanted to see the Bronco's - Vikings Super Bowl that year.
You are not the only one. I'm not sure if that should go in the most memorable moments (although if you are a Falcon's fan, then it certainly belongs there). The music city miracle definitely gets a top billing. Heidi should be up there along with the drive.

However, this game in particular was a close game that featured a great comeback that most of the viewing audience missed out on.

I think this one moment could have changed alot of things for this team. If they win this Super Bowl the upcoming post seasons probably would have been different for them. Scott Norwood's missed FG against the Giants to give New York the Super Bowl win.
