perfect as long as he stays away from the spurs. i hope kidd is loyal, too, and realizes he has no chance to beat the lakers now that they have payton and malone (soon). elton brand is likely going to sign a 1 year deal and then become unrestricted, just like kandi man did last year. i'm not sure what happens to the spurs cap space if they don't sign anyone, but assuming they have the same amount next season they can make a run at kobe or kg. but so far the lakers are the ones making the moves to win the championship.

if kidd ends up staying loyal, i wouldnt be surprised if the Spurs somehow signed Brand or KG. i wouldn't mind waiting a year for a dynasty

tahts BS. even if teh spurs dont sign kidd or JO they still ahve a chance to beat the lakers. the lakers may be the best team but not by that much that no one else has a chance. If the spurs sign kidd or JO or brand theyll be better

I love brand's game but he is not a winner...i don't know what he would do in big games situations he has said he is all about stats ans not team goles...if spurs sign only kidd i will be dissapointed....because payton can match him all the way..spurs didn't need to improve the PG spot..it is up front...i'm sorry but PJ brown doesn't cut it..not when you are going up against a heathly, motivated shaq and malone in the paint.

O'Neal wouldn't be able to do anything against Shaq either. I think the best guys available for the Spurs to sign and defend Shaq would be Brad Miller, Nesterovic, Brown, and Mourning. Of course none of them would be able to do much.. just putting a body on him is all anyone can do.
