<div class="quote_poster">Quoting "olskoolFunktitude":</div><div class="quote_post">the funniest thing is all these idiots saying "duhhhhhhhhhh the spurs dont need kiddd cuz uhhhhhhh uhhhhh cuz i like tony parker duhhhhhhhhhhh".. thats like picking any team in the 90s and syaing they didtn need michael jordan. every team needs one the elite players in the game who makes his teammates better if they have the means. doesnt matter if theyd be replacing someone whos decent. kidd and duncan will be unbeatable</div> i'm 100% sure that Kidd could help the Spurs out big time, but excluding Duncan, the Spurs are a small team. Parker got the job done in SA, Kidd could do it better, but they don't need a better PG. Duncan makes all of his teammates better too. They'll need someone to replace Robinson. They'll likely need someone who could do more than what Robinson did this season in order to beat the Lakers. oh, and here's the link about the kidd rumor being false: http://espn.go.com/nba/news/2003/0710/1579087.html
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">You people are making me sick. Kidd might have said that and it wasn't wrong of him if he did say it. Scott was an awful coach and I think that Kidd would know that better than you guys. Don't judge a man until you have walked a mile in his shoes. I always had the feeling that Eddie Jordan was running that team. BTW - They just said on Sportscenter that Joumana Kidd and Rod Thorn said there was no truth to Kidd demanding that Scott be fired.</div> Scott was an awful coach? Did he make Kenyon go 2-23 from the floor in the finals? Did he make Kittles non-existant in the finals? He did what he had to as a coach, but in the end not enough players were making contributions. You get the feeling Eddie Jordan was running the team? Where you at practices in which he would say stuff because during the games Scott was the one yelling instructions from the bench and instructing the players what to do. BTW- Do you think they would really say that Kidd did demand it? It would make Kidd look even worse than he does already and would completly rule NJ out of the running for him.
I am not holding Scott acountable for the last game in the Finals nor am I holding him responsible for players having bad nights; and I never said I was. Yes I have been to Nets practices. I have been to seven of them. Jordan is the one doing the coaching. Scott's defensive and offensive game plan is always wack and he always makes odd subsitutions. I just don't think he is a good coach. BTW - Who cares if he did or not? Does that make him less of a person because he thinks his coach sucks? Answer my question. Who knows more about Scott's coaching talent, you or Jason Kidd?
It makes him less of a person because he is putting an organization at an add corner. The organization is satisfied with the coach, but Jason Kidd wants to put himself above the coach and the organization by forcing them to choose. Everybody, besides you and Jason Kidd apparently, is very satisfied with Scott's coaching talent. And no I wouldn't trust Kidd because he is never satisfied with anything dealing with coaches or management.

Scott certainly made some bad decisions during the Finals, but it's not the responsibilty of a player (no matter who) to decide if a coach can stay or not, that's up to the management. It would have been strange for the Nets to fire Scott, since he took them to the Finals 2 years in a row, and no one really was surprised that they lost twice, because they played against much stronger teams. You can't blame Scott for that. Since Rod Thorn officially stated that no demands were ever made by JK, this seems like another ugly rumor....
