The Clippers, however, will have 15 days to match the offer once Maggette signs the offer sheet next Wednesday, the first day NBA teams can begin signing free agents. The 6-6 Maggette is coming off the best of his four NBA seasons, having averaged 16.8 points and 5.0 rebounds while starting a career-high 57 games for the Clippers. For his career, Maggette is averaging 11.5 points and 4.2 rebounds. The Nuggets tied Cleveland for the league's worst record last season at 17-65, but have plenty of room under the salary cap in which to entice players </div> Will clippers match the offer? i would say so..they seem focused to re-sign both brand and maggette
I have a feeling the Clips will match. They have a new coach so they probably want to keep as many players as they can from this past season to see how Dunleavy will work with them.
damn, he wont be going to SA any more...yeah i would say clips will match the offer, but i can see him going to denver.
This lineup would have an outside shot to make the playoffs. If they were in the East then they would be a preseason lock for the playoffs. C - Camby PF - Nene/White SF - Anthony/Tskitsavili SG - Maggette PG - Arenas
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting "sunsfan1357":</div><div class="quote_post">White is an SF. I don't even think he close to being able to play PF.</div>Yes, but I doubt that they will keep him as a third backup SF.

i think maggette is really overrated, especially for like 7 million or whatever theyre offering him. he avged 16 and 5 last year, which i was suprised to see him averaging 16 pts/game. not to mention he's been hurt a lot, last year was his first decent year, and he just doesnt seem like a difference maker, although he might be a lil fun to watch.
