Are we going to have the same size roster as last year? It was 14 (2 QB's, 3 RB's, 4WR's, 2 TE's, PK, & def) if memory serves.

Won't that be cutting it a little thin given the number of participants we have?

I thought we would have 2 leagues? Have the conferences been determined?

Is there some timeframe for when all this will go down?

Last I remember, anyway, we talked about having two conferences and the ability to draft the same player in each conference. If so, then I think the roster size would be OK. If not, then I'm not sure if moving the roster size would help anyway. With 32 teams, that would be 96 RBs picked. Beyond 50 RBs, it would be a shot in the dark anyway. Your #3 RB would likely be the flavor of the week, as is, much less the #4 RB.

I don't know how we could do it without going with the 2 leagues of 16 teams each. I would say you could probably bump the roster size a little so there is less week-to-week free agency going on.

Oh, and I don't think the individual positions have a required roster size. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think if you wanted 2 RB and 5 WR, you could do it. Just so you fill your team come game time (and cover yourself on the bye weeks).

2 QB's too much IMO. I really don't want Qunicy Carter on my team Thank you very much.
3 rb's is too much as well for 16 though it could be done but one injury will crush you if your not smart.
    2 TE's tooooooo much. There isn't 16 worth drafting nevermind 32!!
wr's are so deep know that 4WR could work but 3 is perfect with 16 teams.
k and Def are cool with me and if everyone wants a D player I could careless eitherway. Just my opinion's and I'll take whatever rules are in front of me cus everyone has to deal with the same rules.

37, you need to remember what you are going to do when your regular starters have a bye week.

I believe you guys are differing on starters vs. total players on your team here. I agree with Cowboy though, you have to have at least 2 of everything for your bye week. I thought the talent pool was stretched thin last year. Even with 2 conferences in separate drafts, what we are looking at this year would be much thinner. There was absolutly no one on the "free agent" list last year to even pick up for help.

    Cowboy,

I was under the impression that those were the starting positions per BA's post. I'm fully aware the NFL has bye weeks and they must be prepared for. With 16 teams there will be more than enough players for the positions GF1 listed. The more bench the better it is in my eyes.

Thanks KC & 37; Its good to have some know that the "friends of Sherry Palmer" were able to clarify what I had tried to do.

The only tricky part for me last year was what to do when the Rams had their bye week as Wilkins was my PK and did not want to lose him.

we ought to send out another list of those still interested

If we do have some who have signed up flake on u; We could have two 14 team leagues and run each like last year. we could have 4 playoff teams & 3 non plyoff teams in each league. Teams with multiple fans would be seprerated i.e. beef & I would be in one & Dale in the other. Also Chip and Galvy would be in different leagues.

To be honest of these 32 teams in the league, how many will actually show? For some reason i find it hard to beleive that everyone will show or better yet stick around. I think it should be played by ear and see who exactly does show. The smaller the group the more players are avalible on waivers. But since i couldnt be in this last year, i didnt pay attention to how many were in the league last season. Was there teams that were active who didnt quit and so so?
