i still doubt they would make the playoffs. think about it. they were even able to get into the playoffs with JORDAN, the greatest player ever. will Gilbert Arenas be about to make such a sifference? unless they sign another big name free agent, then i doubt they r going to get anywhere.

Yes because arenas is younger..and helped carry GS to playoff contention the tough west..don't act like jordan was in his prime...he was a 18/19 a game scorer..but was old and was not very quick late on in the season because of his knees also he didn't get on with many people there..proof he made kwame cry......arenas is only 21 and he will improve...

gilbert was a 18/19 a game scorer with golden state too. plus, it wasnt gilbert that lead the warriors into playoff contention; it was jason richardson and antwan jamison. gilbert did contribute but he didnt do it alone.

"proof [jordan] made kwame cry" is irrelavent to my point.

You don't get it..arenas who won most improved player award this year will clearly get better and improve next season..arenas was the guy who turned around the warriors...J-rich and jamison were good but they did not improve alot this year..it was arenas great play that got them more wins..i brought up the kwame thing because jordan was said to not get along with his team-mates...therefore bad attuide gets in the way..

i agree with u that gilbert arenas improved a lot and hense the warrior got better. i also agree apon ur statement based on j-rich and jamison's lack of improvement. however, arenas didnt help golden state turn the team around totally. he wasnt able to do it alone. he got help from jrich and jamison and head coach eric musselmen.

jordan did not get well with his teammates because his teammates had the bad attitude; not jordan. i think it is totally unfair to say that the greatest play of all time has a bad attitude. how did jordan win 6 championships with a bad attitude? therefore, linking bad attitude together with winning and losing contridict.

Jordan believe it or not..is not a great person when it comes to basketball..he had great players around him at chicago...at the wizards he was expecting too much too soon..they are young guys learning the game...jordan hates to lose...been rumoured he has threated players if they don't do what he says...not a guy i would want to play for....instead of helping them learn the game his big ego got in the way and he started trying to take over games like he did in his younger days and not passing the ball..but he really couldn't....he made alot of bad mistakes late in games that cost the wizards...i expect arenas to be a 20PPG scorer next year..they have a good chance to make the playoffs..but so do most east teams...i'm not saying they will..but they have a good chance

i dont think Arenas deserves all the credit for the Warrior's success. both of you are forgetting Troy Murphy, who was also a legit most improved candidate. Musselmen also avoided keeping Arenas in the game during the last few minutes of the 4th quarter. That's when Boykins got his PT. i think Stackhouse and Arenas could be a great backcourt, but that alone won't get them in the playoffs

Since two people kwame can't stand (MJ and collins) are gone i expect Brown to break out into a 15 points and 7 rebounds type player this year. also Juan Dixon did very well at camp and c'mon w/ Arenas wizards r bound to make 7th or 8th seed this is the east were talking bout.

Jordan had a bad attitude in Chicago also, but no one (except Bill Carthwright and someone else, can't remember) ever stood up to Jordan because Jordan would slander them in the media. In Washington the players weren't as afraid of Jordan and spoke up to him. That caused Jordan to get pissed, complain to the media, and make everyone on the Wizards look bad. Just because he is one of the greatest players ever doesn't mean he was flawless.

they could make the playoffs if stavkhouse has a big year. he will have a big year but i think the 8th spot will belong to the hawks or the bulls. knicks and raptors are more likely to be in last place than in the playoffs

I think the Hawks have a legit shot at the playoffs if they re-sign Terry and if Diaw is the real deal. They might lose Theo Ratliff though. Nazr is a good replacement, but something always goes wrong. They also need to re-sign Ira Newble. With Newble, Diaw, and Ratliff (if he stays), the Hawks can be a pretty good defensive team with good offensive outlets also (Terry, if he stays, and Reef).

I don't think the Bulls will have much of a chance at the playoffs.

Why? G-Rob was the cancer on that team. Poor attitude and horrible defense.

The Hawks will plug in Boris Diaw. He is a great creator for the other players and is very versatile. He played four positions in the summer league and led the team in rebounds and assists. He is also a great defender. With the possibilty of having a lineup of Newble/Diaw/Ratliff the Hawks will be a team to be reckoned with defensively.
