    SI article

what are your opinions about this...

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> Some years ago I was in the locker room of a professional sports team the night it won the championship. The champagne and beer had been flowing for a while when I began talking with one of the players in a small side area just off the main locker room. One of the team's female staff members stepped between us and gave the player a friendly, congratulatory hug and peck on the cheek. "That's all the kiss I get?" the player said. "That's not a kiss."

He pulled her toward him and tried to kiss her on the lips, but she resisted, leaning her head away. "C'mon now," she said, trying to break free. She was laughing at first, but her smile faded when he kept his muscular arms wrapped around her. "Stop it. Really. Stop it!" she said. Only the three of us were in the narrow area, and just as I was about to intervene, one of the player's teammates walked by and saw what was going on. He stepped in and with just a couple of words persuaded the player to let go of the woman, who hurriedly left the locker room. </div>

he has a point, but i don't agree with it. the only part of the article i agree with is this

"This in no way excuses the athlete who has his way with a woman by force,..."

an adult has to know the difference between right and wrong, whether they are an athlete or not. i think kobe is innocent, and i think the sex was consensual. i am appauled he committed adultery, but that is his personal business with his wife and family.

it's a very touchy situation and only two people know what really happened in his situation.

but if there is really a problem with athletes mistaking friendliness for desire, then the NBA, NFL, & MLB player unions need to address the issue and require players to get counseling and education on the matter.

Honestly, I don't think that article had much of a point. Just regurgitated material.

Exactly. This line was good though-
"The Memphis Grizzlies have a better chance of winning the NBA title than the Eagle County district attorney has of winning this case."

i defently agree with most of it. People living that life style especially since being at such a young age are bound to have some standards that are a little warpped. as humble as they tend to present themselves many star pro athletes are under the impression that life is a big benefit dinner in thei honor. if kobe is guilty its because "he thought the 19 year old girl was one of the women that wanted him but didnt know it yet. and he's right that guilty or not kobe is not going to prison
