I noticed P.J. Brown, in his tenth season, had, by my reckoning his best year as a pro. So, I went ahead and looked for other players in a similar situation: having just completed their best seasons ever. Often, second and third year players are naturally on the rise, so I limited my search to players in their 4th seasons or later.

    Career Years in 2002-03:

Ron Artest, Chauncey Billups, P.J. Brown, Kobe Bryant, Ricky Davis, Howard Eisley, Adonal Foyle, Kevin Garnett, Rip Hamilton, Matt Harpring, Juwan Howard, Troy Hdson, Larry Hughes, Bobby Jackson, Jason Kidd, Kerry Kittles, Jamal Mashburn, Tracy McGrady, Brad Miller, Steve Nash, Rasho Nesterovic, Dirk Nowitzki, Jermaine O'Neal, Paul Pierce, Malik Rose, Brian Skinner, Vladimir Stepania, Predrag Stojakovic, Kurt Thomas, Ben Wallace, Jason Williams.

I would say Ricky Davis Because No one knew who he was untill this year and he had a breakout year.

Add Troy Murphy & Michael Redd to the list.

I'm surprised to see Paul Pierce on there, I actually thought he had an off year, he is scary good.

Pierce absolutely did have an off year. he shot career low in almost every percentage. he did however become more well rounded more versatile player and it will be interesting to see him combine that with his regained shooting touch

Well, Gilbert Arenas even though he is going into his 3rd year. Yeah, definately Troy Murphy, and Ricky Davis.

Pierce shouldn't be on the list. He had a better year last year.

parker, murphy and arenas were only sophomores, thats the natural rise kicking in...

rashard lewis had his best year, especially after the trade, corey maggette, donyell marshall and allan houston. i reckon juwan had his best season statistically with washington in 95/96, but in terms of maturity and leadership it was def last season
