Best NBA Game You've Ever Seen... It doesn't matter whether it was played when you were alive or not. It could be a tape of a game that you have seen, or it could be a game you saw just this past season. I just want to know what is the best game you guys have seen. For me, the best game I have seen is game five of the 1976 NBA Finals with the Celtics against the Suns. That game is regarded by many as the best game ever in the NBA, and it is my favorite. It was just amazing, the way the Celts got the big lead and thought the game was basically sewn up and the "Sunderalla Suns" (as they were called) just came back to make it a great game. The great thing about that team is that they barely had a winning record in the regular season and there they were fighting for the first championship in the Suns' short history. Gar Heard's shot is simply, in my mind, the best buzzer beater I have seen and it sent the game into a THIRD overtime. That shot came after Hondo made shot to give the Celts a lead and everyone stormed the court thinking the game was over, but one second was left. The Suns then set up Gar Heard's shot by taking an illegal timeout (the Celts shot a technical foul shot giving them a two point lead), allowing the Suns to take the ball out at halfcourt. Then Heard just got the ball, turned and swished it in. Of course it would've been even better if the Suns wound up winning the game (which they almost had a chance to by another close miracle by Paul Westphaul), but the Celts won that game and ended up winning the series.
Blazers vs. Lakers - April 14th, 2002 - Double Overtime Sheed hit a 3-pointer as time expired sending the game into overtime. Me and 3 of my buds were at that game and we couldn't have dreamed of a better outcome with Blazers winning by 8 in double OT. Also, when the refs called 3 in the key on Pippen and he wasn't in the key the whole crowd threw their Bill Walton dolls we received earlier at the refs, but I still got mine, because I was rockin the third level.
Mavs come back on the Jazz, Calvin Booth of all people hit the winning shot. and Malone couldnt even win it
Western Conference Finals-Year 1998 I think When Stock hit the 3 to send Utah into the finals against Houston over Sir Charles.
im sure if you had all seen the 1976 NBA Finals with the Celtics against the Suns game, you would all be saying that was the best game ever. and if u have seen it and are saying a different game was better , u r crazy
i agree with jdub the best game has to be game 5 of the 76 finals. the best game i have ever seen live has to be Suns and Twolves two years ago, Marbury hit a buzzer beater to win it
when the lakers came back on the mavs this year or when kobe dropped 40 summion tin the first half on the wiz or when the lakers game back in game 7 of the 2000(???) series against portland
magic vs pistons game 4. magic put a a$$ woopin on the pistons and ben wallace whines to the media. or magic vs hornets when the magic came back by 20 points and beat the hornets in new orleans and the game ended with tmac blocking jamal mashburns shot.
any of the games from the western conference finals of 1995 western conference finals. I-10 showdown between rockets and spurs. robinson took the mvp award, and dream wanted it back. he dominated d-rob is every facet of the game. won the series 4-2 and then went on to win finals mvp.
when Kobe and Vince dropped 40s on each other, VC was amazing back then, he had that ill crossover and a thunderous dunk, my personaly favorite outta all his highlights. It'd be like a dream to see him do that now lol.

How smart it was to call a time out, expecting the foul shot to be made, and then finding a way to take it half court. One of my personal favs was Toronto in Philidelphia. Philly was leading big through out the game but the raps came storming in through the fourth. Vince made some unbelievable plays. I wasnt watching the game because I had to go to the drive in with the family and cousins...to see Shrek. I was pissed but I still got to listen to it on the radio. Another great game was game 4 (the same series) Vince dropped 50, after AI dropped 50. 3 after 3, dunk after dunk it was so fun to watch. Watched it with my dad, a friend and myself in the garage.

I think the best game I've ever witnessed was probably game 7 of the 02 WCF, Lakers/Kings. That was by far the best game of the entire playoffs that year and it's probably the greatest 7 game series I've witnessed in my time of watching basketball.
