<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">bout warrick will be like a jermaine oneil in the league i think</div> That means that when he gets to the league he will be a 20-10 guy after 3 or 4 years or whatever (Considering JO went straight outta HS)
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Kiah:</div><div class="quote_post">Yeah he should be a good NBA player like O'neal maybe not that good and maybe that good. After this season without Carmelo we should be able to tell if he will be like O'neal or not.</div> lmao..tell me how u will be able to tell if he will be like oneal or not after this season?!!? it took oneal 6 years to break out in the league....and warrick is still only in college....u need to wait until he actually plays a game in the nba...i am jsut takin a guess by sayin he will be like another oneal
Kiah, did I say that? I said he is a real athletic player, who uses his athletic ability to do all this scoring. There aren't many times when he will hit a 15 footer or anything. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">no one said he is jermaine o neal....i said he is gonna be like jermaine oneal and of course jermaine o neal is too much for him...rite now let warrick get sum experience in the league then u can compare the 2...</div> No, you are right, you never said he IS Jermaine O'Neal, but you said he is going to be LIKe Jermaine. I don't think Hakim will have the success that JO has had at the same age.
If he does better this year and keeps going up is what I ment by we can tell if he will be "like" O'Neal. SCT you said it on aim to me but thats cool I realize you don't like me and will bash me every chance you get.
If/when Warrick decides to add some mass to his body then he can be very reminiscent of JO, in terms of style of play. I don't think it will translate into the same success, but I can see their games being very similar.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">SCT you said it on aim to me but thats cool I realize you don't like me and will bash me every chance you get.</div> I never said anything. You said, I agree with you about Warrick, and I said ok. I don't know what your talking about.
will you two stop flirting and get back on topic. The point is Warrick is a great player in the paint and can rebound like the skill is goin outta style. I think spending a year without Carmelo in the spotlight will give em a chance to tone up his game, but i agree he's gonna have to put some muscle behind that hustle.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting devilschild:</div><div class="quote_post">Hez a very good player i dont really kno but I believe he is a sophmore nad he was a key part to cuse's ncaa championship and he averaged like 15 a game and he POSTERIZED ROYAL IVEY!!!! So any1 know his status on the draft??</div> That dunk was INSANE!!! I nearly flipped out when I saw it! Hakim Warrick is one of my favs that will be coming out of the '04 draft. His status is around 5-7.
yep props 2 that dunk baby that was crazy! im lookin at it rite now hanging up on my wall fresh outa slam! as for his impact in the nba we will just have 2 wait and see!
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">as for his impact in the nba we will just have 2 wait and see!</div> Duh
I think that Warrick will be more of an open court player than a post-up player. We'll see what kind of role he plays for the Orange this season, but I still think his athleticism and ability to play in transition means he compares closer to Darius Miles than Jermaine O'neal. Its hard to say, guys sometimes change their games around quite a bit in college.
Exactly. Jermaine O'Neal is a great post up player, and Warricks athletic ability makes him much more of a Darius Miles type player than a JO.
I think it's been said best a hundred times. It took JO quiet a while to come into the player he was this year, and I don't think that while Warrick is a great player in the paint and off the boards, i don't see him jumping into the league and making a major impact, not for a few years anyway.
Hakim is gonna be awesome..He is a very solid built player..but he needs to work on his Jump Shot and that is about it..If he works on that and get a decent Jump Shot he will be good
Hakeem needs a Jump shot but his is nt that bad. He can climb the latter. He has really big hops. Very good shot blocker.
Blocking shots doesn't make you a good defensive player. In the league, if he plays SF or PF, he is going to need to put on muscle. He would get tossed around at PF. And, I don't really know if he is quick enough to be a SF.
