How is it bad for NY? Spree never fit in with NY because he was a SG playing SF which didn't allow him to do what he needed to get him game going. Now you guys have someone who knows how to play SF. KVH might not be the toughest guy in the world, but he'll suffice.

just because atlanta has a lot of money for free agents, who is going to actually want to play for their team?

just look at miami this year and the bulls a few years ago. having cap space does not guarantee you are going to get any free agents. i think the hawks were more interested in saving money, because they are not getting enough wins for the money they were spending. Their salary was around $52M and they only had 35 wins last season.

we sacrificed toughness for a man with no balls, he will NOT fit in NY the media will absolutly torch him, also "no balls" issnt what we needed we needed toughness, scoring issent what we needed 97 ppg for us defense is what we needed 95 ppg for them,as a knick an i am here by dubbing this another bad layden move

the media torched camby after he was deemed soft and the knicks lost oakley for him, it'll be the same with van horn and rightly so. KG is gonna get less of the ball now, but the kid's gonna average a bloody triple double! a starting lineup of cassell, sprewell, wally, KG and kandi is gonna cause headaches, cos they are all gonna want the ball in their hands

The Knicks have Kurt Thomas for toughness, they have Ward for toughness, they have McDyess for toughness. There is already plenty of toughness on the team. KVH will fit in better with NY. He is a better shooter, and (despite not being "tough") is a way better rebounder than Spree. He averaged around eight minutes less than Spree, but was practically even in PPG and has by far the better RPG. KVH will get more minutes with NY and will most certainly score more.

the deal is not official yet, so don't be surprised if the knicks back out last minute. i think van horn might be decent for them. he will be the 3rd option and won't have to bang inside. spree was a fan favorite, but he had to be traded because of his salary and the fact he was playing out of position.

i think the knicks are going to get ratliff, too.

yea..if mcdyess stays healthy, the knicks have a pretty solid line up...cept for their point guard problems of course

Well Frank Williams should be healthy this year. I think he will be real solid at the PG for the next whether he starts or somes off the bench.

ward has the option of being baught out thomas is a 6'9 center dyess might not even play i think van horn is in contract through 2006 umm as i recalled we drafted a sf/c who's supposed to be "the next dirk" why not start him as sf what to loose? what we need is ratliff or a big man with GutS you cannot be in NY without GUTS your not understanding that NY is a tough place to play in you need to come in a prove that you can play in the lights van horn was traded for a reason and i think the knicks will know why verry soon

Lampe is not the next Dirk. Any good Euro gets compared to Dirk even if it isn't warranted. If you can't be in NY without guts then why is Allan Houston still playing and still being SUCCESSFUL in NY. You are just looking for something to nitpick about Van Horn's game.

the point guard issue is verry good imo so what 1 year without a pg its not like were gonna win the champoinship vijunic will come next year and he will resolve that issue not a big problem this year

Looking at this trade from the Siuxers perspective it's not a good trade. Has Iverson ever played well with another scorer on the team, remember when he played with Stackhouse? KVH was a good fit because he could shoot and didn't take many shots from AI.

Also the Knicks fans should be happy they got rid of Spreewell's contract. Also the Boston deal wasn't going to happen Ainge didn't like the trade.

i think it's a great trade for the 76ers. when stackhouse played for the 76ers him and iverson both wanted to lead the team and be the 1st option. also iverson has become a much better playmaker and tries to get his teammates involved. he now has a player who he can feel confident dishing the ball, too, because big dog can drop 22 to 25 points every night. also big dog knows this team belongs to iverson.
