The Spurs biggest off-season move has been resigning their franchise player Tim Duncan. Their second biggest move was getting Rasho Nesterovic to replace D-Rob. Eventhough Rasho is a decent player and should put up similar numbers as D-Rob, the Spurs have missed out on obtaining another superstar. Jason Kidd, Zo, Jermaine O'neal, the Clipper free agents, Payton, Malone, and Gilbert Arenas. The Spurs have also lost Speedy Claxton via free agency, and they have yet to re-sign Stephen Jackson. What should the defending champions do to keep up with the West?
wait until next season, i suppose. they have signed Robert Horry. that might seem like a big deal in some people's eyes. The Spurs will still be a top 4 team in the West
spurs just go deeper. gino can play the point, hedo can as well and even mercer played some point while in indy. none of them are a viable backup point but they could help in spot relief for tp. they prolly need to pick up a backup point for the vet min. and they have said they will sign kerr and willis.
looks like boykins is the guy they're targeting. he's kinda growing on me. the kid is short but he can play. unfortunately, i don't think he'll get enough minutes 'cause manu and hedo can play a lil point. should be fun lineups for pop
