It seems as if there have been conflicting stories on the injury Yao suffered this week in practice with the Chinese National team. Some stations were reporting he broke a bone over his eye, while others reported he needed 8 stitches for a cut suffered after being elbowed by a teammate. http://www.chron.com/cs/CDA/ssistory.mpl/s.../bk/bkn/2009585 Even if Yao just needed 8 stitches and broke no bones he still is being overworked in China. He finished the season a few months ago and is already being worn down before the next season starts playing with the national team.
yea he broke a bone...his orbital...nuttin series...he is gon sit out 2 or 3 games...but i agree the china team is workin him to hard...i guess tehy dont like the fact he is playin in america...i bet the rockets owner isnt to happy about his playin time over there
The good thing is that it isnt serious. The Chinese team is overworking Yao, however that was part of the agreement to allow him to play in the NBA. He will miss a few games which is ok. Its a good thing that this happened now and hopefully it wont happen during the NBA season.
He'll be fine he didn't have any major injury scares last season so unless this is differentn it should keep that way.
