I had my DirecTv intalled last tuesday....since then, I have yet to turn the channel....HBO is a waste of money now, I have NFL NETWORK!...my favorite show is "In thier own words", the networks documentary where they follow a player or a coach with a camera and microphone and let them do whatever they want....even TO came off as a decent person on the show....I have been told for months that I will have reception problems when it rains, but I havent even had the reception flicker, and its rained here everyday....I LOVE DIRECTV, and I LOVE NFL NETWORK!!!

Oh man...that sounds awesome. Any ideas on how I can convince the wife that sitting in front of the TV watching football in July would actually help me?

NFLFan, that's pretty funny...I'd have to convince my wife while you have to convince your mom.

For all those who are not married: this is just a little insight into marriage. [IMG]

Hey I have the dish and will continue to have it. My wife-to-be will just have to get over it... of course I'm not telling her that! But I just won't tell her that's the reasoning!

Id start by telling her how much money DirecTv will save her....beside the monthly fee, which is less than cable, you wont spend any money, because you will always be home(although your food bill might go up from all the pizza and chinese you will order in)....she doesnt have to know about the food thing until after its too late though...

Well, we talked about it...we're going to give it a couple of weeks and if we don't get used to regular cable we are going back.

Does it cost extra for the NFL network?

It's free if your local cable provider includes it in the packaging. It's also free to Sunday Ticket subscribers. (May be free to any DirectTV customer)

its included in the basic DirecTv package....you DO NOT have to have Sunday Ticket to get NFL network...my favorite show is "In thier own words"
