<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Maybe signing with the New Orleans Hornets will help take the sting out of Darrell Armstrong's unceremonious exit from the Orlando Magic. Armstrong officially moved on Friday, signing a two-year contract for about $6 million with the New Orleans Hornets. He said that he'll talk with Magic Coach Doc Rivers and others in the franchise who decided the 35-year-old point guard and fan favorite no longer fit in their plans -- but it may take some time. "I haven't talked to Doc [Rivers] yet," Armstrong said from his cell phone. "I got to get over it. I can't be mad at him because he wanted to make a move. I want to thank them for putting up with me. I'm an emotional player. "I just didn't like the way it was done. I went to war with Doc for four years. They had a different plan in mind. . . . It happens. I felt I should have ended my career there alongside Doc Rivers. Things happen sometime for the best. "I'll talk to him sometime. I'm still not ready to talk to anyone [with the Magic.]" </div> full story here http://www.orlandosentinel.com/sports/bask...?coll=orl-magic
darell is stupid for not resigning with us. he shoulda taken less money to play with us since we were so loyal to him.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Truemaster14:</div><div class="quote_post">He might sign with the magic</div>It looks like he is headed to the Heat if they can't sign Earl Boykins.

o sorry. i still like darell, but he was being a little <font color="darkred">EDIT</font> and not even hearing our offer and not caring, it's tough to not turn on him after not even being loyal to us. <font color="darkred">Edited by sunsfan1357</font>
He was he not loyal to you? you are lucky he even stayed as long as he did...he even said he won't where the number he wore at magic again in respect to the fans...

Ask John Amaechi about how loyal the Orlando Magic are. I'm sure he'll give you a nice speech on loyalty.
yeah that's true. we were nice to darell, he didn't deserve the contract that we gave him, but we gave it to him because he was loyal to us. he shoulda realized that he wouldn't start for us and that he won't be able to play much longer. (the reason why he didn't stay is he wanted more years. )
No he started acting a lot different ever since the cop thing and becoming a FA. These quotes arent from the Darrell I knew playing for the magic "I'm pissed at Doc. He could have called me and talked to me about what's going on." "Tyronn is a good point guard. He won a championship with the Lakers, but I don't know if he even comes halfway close to doing the things I do," Armstrong said. "And I got offended when I heard someone call Speedy Claxton 'a young Darrell Armstrong.' Ain't no way in hell. He hasn't done enough in the NBA to be called 'a young Darrell Armstrong.' " "Wherever I play next season, I'm going to be effective, doing all the things I've always done. I think I contribute too much to be asked to sign for less money," Armstrong said. -Orlando Sentinel
Well, Hornets have a good back up now. Well, I dunno, maybe he'll start. Not sure who the point is down there. I think it's Baron but I might be crazy.
