    If you click on his name though, it leads you to his profile, and having a Magic icon next to the picture. Plus didn't he say he was retiring last year. But in any case, NBA.com is slow, and is full of errors all the time. ESPN is way better.

    Grant, who turned 38 earlier this month, hasn't played since being released by the Orlando Magic last Dec. 11. He played only five games with the Magic last season, averaging 5.2 points and 1.6 rebounds.

    Grant is a 16-year veteran who has played in 1,110 games and has four championship rings. He signed with Orlando in July 2001 and averaged 8.0 points and 6.3 rebounds in his first season with the Magic.

    He played in 77 games with the Lakers in 2000-01, averaging 8.5 points and 7.1 rebounds.

    The 6-foot-10 Grant has career averages of 11.5 points, 8.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists. He played seven seasons with the Chicago Bulls before joining Orlando in 1994. He played five seasons with Orlando and one each with Seattle and the Lakers before returning to the Magic.

    He's a solid backup PF, I don't know why he is playing any more though? He retired last year, now he is coming back. It's not like he needs the money.

    Samaki wasn't that bad. Remember the half-court shot vs.the Queens in the WCF? And he bodied up Duncan good in 2002. It's 2003 he stunk with his butterfinger hands..

    Anyways, I thought this offseason was supposed to be about getting athleticsm for the Lakers' future. But Ho Grant is not a bad pick-up, just a bit old. Now it's time to go after Kendoll Gill. [​IMG]

    I don?t think he retired last year, he got cut by the Magic because he had an argument with coach Rivers and T-Mac.
