I hope he stays in texas at least...signing with rockets would be good...as they need a replacement for james posey....

We have a trade exception, maybe a little sign and trade for a draft pick so they get something for him. But our trade exception is only like 1.5 million, plus the Spurs don't want to help us out any. Oh well, it's a nice dream.

I want him in Denver, I don't want to see the Rockets get better at all.

he is a port arthur guy. that's about an hour and a half away from houston. i assumed "super mod" would know that.

houston signed piatkowski, so they aren't going to sign jackson. his best bet would be denver where he can be the 2-3 option.

when the spurs traded for turkoglu and mercer, that was the end of jackson in san antonio.

Believe me, S-jax won't be signing with the Wolves even in your dreams. The Wolves are fresh out of cash, they barely had enough dough for Maddog. If you're S.jax, you go to Denver. You allready got a title, now go boost your stats on a terrible team.

What makes you think that Houston cant sign Jackson? Sure, we signed Piatkowski however we added him for his shooting not really as a Posey replacement. I seriously doubt he will even start for us nor to be able to totally fill in Posey's shoes. Now, adding Jackson would be a great move for the Rockets. He comes with a ring and experience. He has good size and athleticism for a wing of his caliber and I believe he would be the perfect replacement for Posey. As you said it youself, he is a Pourt Arthur guy so it would be a good geograhical location for him to.

Francis, Mobley, Jackson, Griffin, and Ming as starters sound really really good to me.

Houston will not sign Jackson. Why do you think they let Posey go? Signing Posey would put Houston in the luxury tax area. Houston didn't feel Posey was worth paying the luxury tax for. Thats the only reason Posey is being let go.

Stephen Jackson is the better shooter, but they are similar players. Again, Houston wont view Jackson as worthy enough to be paying the luxury tax. Thats why Houston, although interested, wont sign him to the MLE outright. They will want to do a S&T, which is unlikely, unless a 3rd team is interested to make a 3 way trade. SA would want one year contract in return, plus something(pick?) to make this worthwhile. Ginobili is a FA after this year, and since he was a 2nd round pick, the Spurs DO have to stay enough below the cap to resign him(just like the Warriors had to do to if they were able to, to keep Arenas).

The Mavs want him because he is a good defender, something that the Mavs need. Jackson is a young backup, who can help defend the likes of Kobe, Ray Allen, Peja, and the rest of the Western Conference premier scorers at the wing.

Who is likely to get him? Denver, as they are under the cap. Dallas, as Cuban will pay the L.T, Miami, as they are under the cap, and maybe Portland(if they decide to.......A Sabonis(expiring contract and a 1st for Jackson works........Portland gets a defender with good PR, SA gets a 1st and a contract that can be voided to save cap room to resign Ginobili).

NJ wont sign him either. How can they? They alreay gave their MLE to Alonzo. Jackson wont sign for less than the MLE.

Going to the Nuggets would be good for him. Or, he could go to the Lakers and solidify that SF spot for them. But, in all likelyhood, that won't happen.
