<div class="quote_poster">Quoting dexter:</div><div class="quote_post">What makes you think that Houston cant sign Jackson? Sure, we signed Piatkowski however we added him for his shooting not really as a Posey replacement. I seriously doubt he will even start for us nor to be able to totally fill in Posey's shoes. Now, adding Jackson would be a great move for the Rockets. He comes with a ring and experience. He has good size and athleticism for a wing of his caliber and I believe he would be the perfect replacement for Posey. As you said it youself, he is a Pourt Arthur guy so it would be a good geograhical location for him to.

Francis, Mobley, Jackson, Griffin, and Ming as starters sound really really good to me.</div>

vintage beat me to it. houston is not going to sign him. they signed piatkowski. if they sign jackson too, it will be costing them at least as much as it would have to match posey's offer. and they didn't get posey because they don't want to pay luxury tax. for that same reason they won't sign jackson.

Salt Lake Tribune: "The Jazz will add a point guard today by signing their own free agent, Carlos Arroyo, to a one-year contract. And Friday, they will turn their attention to Stephen Jackson, showing him around Salt Lake City in an effort to attract the Spurs' shooting guard."

    anyways...

check this article out...on the jazz and Sjax..i hopr he doesn't go there

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">O'Connor, the Jazz's vice president of basketball operations, still has plenty of work ahead this summer. Today he has a face-to-face meeting with Spurs guard Stephen Jackson and his agent.

Talks will intensify with Jackson, who started alongside Tony Parker on San Antonio's championship team. O'Connor will show him around the team's new practice center, lay out his plans for the new-look Jazz, and try to figure out if this would be a good fit.

Jackson wasn't particularly interested in Utah when O'Connor first called a month ago, but things have changed for both sides. The Jazz struck out in their attempts to acquire high-profile free agents, and Jackson was crowded out of a Spurs roster that now includes Hedu Turkoglu and Ron Mercer.

"We probably weren't his first option," O'Connor said. "The interest level was probably a little different early on. But it's not where you start, its where you end up."

Jackson isn't a first, maybe not even a second, option type of player.

He'd be a solid 15ppg player if someone would give em the minutes and have some faith in em. The guys been tossed around more then a young Kobe Bryant accuser! Everyone that picks em up, eventually trades em off or lets him swin in the free agent pool.

Personally I think he'd be a great fit going to the Jazz or the Heat, that way he can earn his minutes and become a potential starter on the floor. but...who am i to make the call.

He should go to the Jazz or Nuggets. Miami already has two or three shooting guards. Nuggets would be the best fit. Jazz would offer the most money tho.

ya, good point, i could see the Nugs being a better spot for him, of course coming off the bench though...unless he went into a huge point run.

Sjax should come to Toronto and take over Mo Pete staring spot at the 2. Mo is just too inconsistent, lacks d, and is expecting a big contract. I feel that Mo could do a lot better coming off the bench as a 6th man, although I have to give him credit for posterizing Nesterovic. Sjax would be a great fit, too bad the raps are on a tight budget.
