my friend dashthemavfan13, showed me this trade on the maverick mesage board, and it actually might happen, here's the link http://dallas-mavs.com/forums/messageview....&threadid=11008 down at the bottom it says that portland radio is talking about it also. none of the teams gets raped that bad. A three-way BLOCKBUSTER about to happen between the Mavs,Blazers,& Hawks Here is the COMPLETE Trade: DAL Trades: Nick Van Exel Raef LaFrentz Tariq Abdul-Wahad DAL Gets: Rasheed Wallace Ruben Patterson Jeff McInnis POR Trades: Rasheed Wallace Bonzi Wells Arvydas Sabonis Jeff McInnis POR Gets: Shareef Abdur-Rahim Nick Van Exel Theo Ratliff Tariq Abdul-Wahad ATL Trades: Shareef Abdur-Rahim Theo Ratliff ATL Gets: Raef LaFrentz Bonzi Wells Arvydas Sabonis
I would have to say that Portland gets the best out of that. They get a player just as good if not better than Wallace with Shareef, not too mention, he doesn't have the temper. And also Van Exel, yea, Portland gets best if this happens.
I think it is fair. You can compare like this if you want.... Sheed=SAR Wells=NVE Sabonis(expring 8mil worth alot)+ McInnis=Ratliff So I think it is fair.
Seriously by the way the guy has posted it no saying who his source is..it has to be fake..although they seem to be in talks..i've seen people post like he has on other boards like that and turns out to be fake...will see tomorrow or on the 1st if it happens or not..
i think they said it does. it might not happen soon, because of the BYC's though(according to that thread on that board.
dallas will have no center to start...bradley? echmeyer? why do they want to get rid of their starting center so badly? without a decent center, theyll never win a championship
dirk could play center i guess, i don't know what they were thinking giving up there best center, even though he gets into fould trouble so early in games.
If this trade was going to happen some newspaper would of reported it...and said a deal was on the works...surely
Everyone seems to be concerned about Dallas losing their Center in Raef Laefrentz. While that would bother Dallas a little, the important question is: Will Dallas be a better team than before the trade? Steve Nash Michael Finley Ruben Patterson Rasheed Wallace Dirk Nowtizki That almost matches the Lakers in terms of star-power- and The Mavs would have more depth with Mcinnis, Eduardo Najera, Josh Howard and Co coming of the bench. I don't know how realistic this deal is, but I think this deal makes the Mavericks even more dangerous offensively and they retain their good depth without hurting their defense any. However, a lack of quality backups at PG and C are a concern.
