i'm not, i'm still thinking he will avg 20 ppg at least and be an all-star, but everyone is making it sound like he will avg 30+ ppg for his career and get so many triple doubles since he can pass so good and i just don't think that he will do that good. i think it's stupid though that 80,000 people bought his jersey when he hasn't even played a game yet.

But that's just the way world is today, look at Mark Walker 5 or 6 somethin yr old kis already got a Reebok shoe contract cause he can "shoot." Then you guys as FANS should overlook the hype and make judgements on his game yourself. Don't just say, "Because he gets more attention than so and so he isn't going to do well." Make your own assessments on his game. No one here on these boards who have said LeBron won't do well has ever made their own assessment on LeBron's game. It's always just, "He's overhyped, he won't succeed because he's overhyped." What does that have to deal with his GAME? BTW- I've heard comparisons more to Magic Johnson than MJ. Skip- Mark Walkers "contract" with Reebok is more like a college fund. There is nothing wrong with that.
Lebron is one of the true nice guys...you can't hate him or his game..he is great to watch..he is hyped..but again why is it his fault? you want him to hide his game and not make the NBA as exciting?
Exactly. Overhype dont equal to your skills. Like VC may be overhyped but he has skills neverthless he's a Top 10 quality player when healthy.
We disrespect those types of guys because they disrespected hip-hop. Clearly, what they are putting out isn't not hip-hop, then they have the nerve to say that they are staying true to the roots. If they really cared about hip-hop, then they would not be slinging bi*tches, pushing cars, and throwing money at the camera every single time. All this pop rap is making me mad, Jay is too overrated. He had one good album, "Reasonable Doubt," I still can't believe the Source gave him 5 mics for "The Blueprint." With songs like "I.Z.Z.O.," and "Girls, Girls, Girls." Then Nelly, and Ja Rule's albums should all be five mic worthy.

If it was up to me then you can guys talk about whatever you want as long as the thread stays active or whatever, but it's just a preference of the boards in general to stay on topic because when it goes off topic it usually results in two people going back and forth (like you and skip) with no more people responding which may result in a good thread getting locked.
