Does anybody know what the latest news on Darko's contract with Hemofarm? I haven't really heard much on it, besides that they want 10mill for him to sign with Detroit. Of course seeing as an NBA team can only pay out 350,000 to buy a contract up, Darko's gonna be playing for PRETTY cheap over the next couple years. If he can't get them down any farther, it's practically 1.3million he's playing for, for 3 seasons. ouch!
The pistons management seem confident something will be sorted out soon...they are pretty close to buying out the contract....but that was like two weeks ago..so i don't know....no new update right now..
Hmm, well, that kinda blows for Detroit. They're gonna need to get his contract bought out and hopefully they don't have to go through what the Rockets had to go through last year.
i hope it works out soon, i wanna see what he can do. People compare him to Dirk and KG, but i think he'll be more of a solid in the paint 4 player. Just don't seem very versitile to be running the court and pulling up the three...but i hope i'm wrong.
