    Grant Hill.. Hall of Fame?

Grant Hill has obviously had and excellent career which has been cut short due to his severe ankle injuries.. over his career Hill averaged
    21 points
    8 boards
    6 assists
    1.5 steals
he has played for the dream team and won a gold medal as well as being great in the community.
he has set many records for the pistons and did a lot for that franchise.
    2 questions
will he get his number retired?
will he b in the hall of fame?

I think his number SHOULD be retired. I don't think he will get into the hall of fame. If he had more playoff success (which coincidentally he screwed up his career trying to get further in the playoffs) he would have a chance, but he never really did have any success in the playoffs. He's just another player who never achieved what he could've.

Well maybe have his jersey retired considering he did play for our country
He definitely shouldn't be in the hall of fame, that is a place where only players that excelled should be
Yeah he go injured that is why he hasn't continued, but hey thats just the way the cookie crumbles.

It has nothing to do with him playing for the country. It's what he accomplished as a Detroit Piston (the team with whom he has had the most success). I think he had enough success on the court and in the communitiy in Detroit to get his number retired. Like I said, he'd definately get his number retired and might get into the HOF with more playoff success, but it's a shame that it never happened for him.

No when I said that, I meant he did so well as a Piston he was chosen to represent our country.

WRONG. Individually Grant Hill might statistically look alot nicer than Sprewell because hill has a gold medal and woteva.. HOWEVER Sprewell has made alot of sacrifices and been alot more valuable to his team than Grant Hill has ever been. So yeh.. say what u want.. g hill is better if thats what you think, but Sprewell has done so much more than grant hill has ever done / ever will do for his team. How far has ghill taken his team into the playoffs? Grant Hill is a big name player because he boasts big individual statistics.. if that were the case you would be letting a third of the nba into the hall of fame. At the moment as we speak, Grant Hill does not deserve to be in the Hall of Fame. PERIOD.

he will probably get neither...tmac and hill could have been the second best combo in the game behind shaq and kobe but grant hill never had a chance to do that

whoa. bold statement. i think Kobe and Shaq would still be better.

I don't think Hill will make it to the HOF. getting his jersey retired is a possibility

I think the Pistons will probably retire his number cause he had a great career over there. Whether or not he will make the hall of fame is another issue. I think, that, if they look at what he's done in his career and what could have happened, they will. I think that they should look past the injuries and look at what he'd done in the time he was playing.

I think his jersey will be retired in Detroit. He had a great career there, but he obviously won't make the Hall of Fame. He had four or five good years and that was it.
