I don't think theres a doubt that if Eddie Jones stays in Miami he should be the leading scorer, but who do you think will be the Heat's consistent number two option? If there are any other possibilities for even the number one option, post them. I've posted the legitimate contenders for the number two option below, remember this is for the Heat's roster as of now. Jerome Beasley Caron Butler Rasual Butler Brian Grant Eddie Jones Dwyane Wade Samaki Walker
There is definitely a doubt as to whether or not Jones will be the leading scorer. It is most likely that he will not be. Last year Jones averaged just 3.1 more points than Caron Buler in 1.5 more minutes per game. This season Eddie Jones will be on the decline at age 32 and Caron Butler will be on the uprise at age 23. Jones' average might decease by a point or two while Butler's average will surely increase by one to even ten points. It's obvious that I think Caron will be the first scoring option and Eddie will be the second. For the third option I see a close battle between Brian Grant, Malik Allen, and Dwyane Wade. Grant's main focus will be on the defensive, the Heat want Wade to pass more than shoot, and Allen might not see as many minutes again this year so it is hard to tell who the third option will truely be.
Wade averaged 21 points per game in college. I am expecting Butler to get around 20 points per game and Jones to get around 16 to 18 points per game. Do you really think that Wade will average only three points less than he did in college? You have to take into consideration the fact that he is playing point guard. Not only is this a new position to him, but he will now need to pass first and shoot later. Don't forget about Rookie Walls either. Wade is bound to hit one. Wade might score more points per game next season, but I doubt that he will this season.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Raptors21:</div><div class="quote_post">1.Jones with 18ppg 2.Butler with 16ppg 3.Wade with 13ppg</div> that's realistic, then you've got Grant adding 10-12, i would probably see jones gettin 20, Butler getting around 15-22, and wade with 10-14. spartanfan that was pretty smart adding Malik Allen, hes pretty good when he gets decent minutes.
i definetlyey think butler will be the number two option cause he had a solid rookie season and im lloking for him to bust out again
I am becoming frustrated. Everybody is putting Butler or Wade as the second option. I told you guys why I don't think this will happen, yet you continue to list them accordingly without telling me why you believe that I am wrong. Support your statements!
