You guys will still have a very good defense, but it is definitely downgraded. It was hard enough for the Bucks to make it to the SB with a great defense...I have trouble believing they will see much success with a smaller talent pool.
There was a reason why sapp wasnt brought back to our team. Sapp like ive said many times was outplayed last season chartic darby. Darby actually came and did well, while warren sat on the bench. This team needed russell for his size and his ability to stuff the run. Most importantly we needed him for depth. Tampa still has options to go out and sign a dt. Stubbifield,chad eaton are names. Having someone come in at nose tackle is our objective as anthony mcfarland makes his change to his natural postion under tackle. There for we need a big man who can plug holes, not a man who gets sacks. Even a player like gilbert brown could work for us. Our weakness is the spot that warren sapp left, however booger jumps into warren spot and now we need someone to take over mcfarlands old spot at nose tackle. 22-1 odds is the odds in vegas of returning to the bowl tampa has something to prove. Except this year we have no distractions and we are healthy. In the end i dont think we miss sapp at all and darrell russell was a cheap gamble.
