Who do the Clippers start at Point Guard now? Keyon Dooling? Marco Jaric?

I would say Dooling because he needs to show that he can play and not be buried on the bench. Thats not what 10th overal picks do. But if he doesnt produce then jaric is the anwser.

I have always had faith in Keyon Dooling. I believe that he should start. He will probably be a future Bobcat, you just wait and see.

I think Dooling will start, he may even prove to be a good player this year, he never really has been given the chance.

I think Jaric is the better player. I think Dooling a bust he has nt done anything and wont be anything speical. Plus Jaric is 6'7 or 6'6.

Yeah but do you think he can hang with the Marburys and the Kidds?

I think Jaric can play with the smaller guards. Maybe Marbury would fly by him but he is super fast along with Parker and Speedy. He should be able to post up on them easily.

Who can hang with the Marbury's and Kidds, not many players can. Dooling should start, but they should get = minutes.

Dooling is a star in the making. He was held back due to the signing of Andre Miller, and injuries. Hopefully he can avoid the injury bug, and take advantage of this opportunity. Jaric is a good player, but he will be more effective coming off the bench, as a scorer, and presenting teams with match-up problems. Mike Dunleavy usually goes with a traditional point guard, and Kenyon fits the role. He's a great decision maker, and has enough offense to score when Brand gets double teamed. He still needs to work on his defense, and his outside shooting is a little inconsistent, but he's going to open a lot of eyes next year.

Dooling as a starter and Jaric coming off the bench.

But I would love to see Jaric running the point for the Clippers as a starter in the future.

I think that Jaric is probably a better '1' right now for the Clippers. For starters, he gets TONS of steals and generates several turnovers in addition to his picks- That type of pressure on the ball can really hamper an oppossing team's offense and ignite your's by generating some fast break points. Jaric is also a better shooter. Their passing skills are kind of a push right now but Jaric averaged about 2 more assists per 48 last season, and had slightly better numbers per 48 across the board.

Plus the lighting rod- Dooling is generously listed at 6'3 while Jaric is 6'7 (and he still gets better on the ball pressure than Dooling) that kind of size and length really allows Jaric to see the floor, rebound a little and he really cuts down on opposing team's passing lanes by extending those long arms on the perimeter.

Dooling is certainly talented enough to win the starting job but only if he made some VERY big strides in the offseason.

I think that they should try starting Q at PG.

Keyon Dooling and traditional point guard mentioned together? Apparently you haven't seen too many Clippers games. Whenever Dooling's in, watch out. All he did last year was bomb away from beyond the 3 point line. Jaric is a much more complete player. He can D up, is a decent shooter, has much better court vision, is unselfish, and is a quick learner.

Keyon is more of a 2 and Marco is more of a 1. Don't let the size fool you.
