Maybe it is because of that beating Michigan State gave them in the NCAA Tournament. They have a decent team this year, but they aren't anything special. Nobody has them in the top 16, not even the Las Vegas bookies. You can't make much of a case for them being ranked over any of those teams that Vitale listed.
hahahah Carolina #8, alright. I like that. Maryland? You can't just say, there good usually, so they should be in there. If you don't have the players, then you shouldn't be in there.

I have a stronge dislike for Dick Vitale. He tends to be ACC bias. And only just in the last couple of years, has he given credit to the Pac10. I usaully mute the TV when he's commintating games. "Yeah baby..." this, old man!
