I think it is a great point about how "great" the eagles were vs the run after the first 5 games. Lets look at those opponents 1) Tampa - extremely poor line play last year.(90 yards rushing) (24th ranked) 2) New England - Not a running team, what a surprise.(62 yards rushing (27th ranked) 3) Buffalo - T.henry missed start(21 yards rushing) (21st ranked) 4) Washington - spurrier as coach nuf said(49 yds rushing) (22nd ranked) 5) Dallas - Had decent running game last year.(119 yds rushing) (12th ranked) so the one team in the top half of the league running the ball last year had good game vs the eagles The other team with decent back(buffalo) did not have thier starter, and the got real low total which totally skews statistics. I think it is interesting they did a great job stopping the run vs bad running teams? coincidence? I think i have proven that the eagles who despite starting out vs these horrible running attacks finished 22nd in the league vs the run, Were and probably still are horrible vs the run. Philly better luck next decade.

Tiki Barber Curtis Martin Warrick Dunn/TJ Duckett Ahman Green Tiki Barber Deuce McCalister Troy Hambrick Steven Davis RIcky Williams Kevin Barlow and who ever is the skins RB last year-either canidate or morton. you can also say that we faced arguably a set of the 1000 yard rushers who ran on everyone with the exception of Wash. Mike Alstott, Antwan Smith, Travis Henry and Troy Hambrilck aint shit either.

The first 5 games(excluding dallas who had 120 yards on ground) were bad running teams and you did a good job stopping them. The last 11 teams you played had good backs and you could not stop them. The team despite the good start finshed 22nd vs the run so they must have really sucked down the stretch meaning they are HORRIBLE

My point is the only reason you were the top run stoppers is cuz you played shitty running teams, it had NOTHING to do with being healthy. They SUCKED vs the run last year. See above for proof that you only did well vs shitty running teams in first 5 weeks.
