talent wise=the ravens coaching wise=the pats. pats give offenses headaches, they are hands down the best.
I would include Miami on that list. J. Taylor and Ogunleye are a sackfest waiting to happen. Surtain and Madison (even if he's aging) are pretty good in the INT department. And you could do a lot worse than Z. Thomas and Seau at LB too.
MY top 5 no order: 1. Pats 2. Ravens 3. Miami 4. Panthers 5. Cowboys Eagles could make this list when there team is HEALTHY
I have to put bears in the top 5 now, with Cover two making up for their weakness at corner, a faster defense, and they were already 7 th in the league in total defense last year.
BF1 you sound like Dawk saying his team now has the best run defense in the league...lets see your boys prove it before we put them in the top 5.
Bears have the talent, but can they stay healthy? Also with a strong offensive division it should be a task worth seeing. I think towards the end of the year they could be in my top 5.
Pats, phins, bills, titans, ravens, Cowboys, & Tampa (this yr will be interesting). Bengals & seahawks could be. Steelers were. Saints could rise from the ashes.
ok pats37 i see your point since i said a 7th ranked defense was now a top 5 defense that is a huge jump like dawk saying a 22nd ranked run defense is now the best. REAL similar, no really i am not being sarcastic. . . ok i am and that is by far the dumbest posts you have ever made(and you dont normally make dumb posts).
blackadder i think you forgot the panthers there and bearsfan1 are you sure the bears are ranked 7th in defence i'm looking at these defensive rankings on a website and they are ranked 23, also lets look at thier stats last year: 334 pts against, 18 sacks, 15 ints, 5 fumble recovers, 1 td, 0 safetys sry that doesnt sound like the 7th ranked defence maybe u sound more like Dawk then you thought
I did forget the Panthers - d'oh. I know mentioned Buffalo. Now that they've reached an agreement w/ Gildon that makes them all the more dangerous. It will make the AFC East even more of a dog fight.
i looked and remember 7th, but i double checked and sportsline had them at 12th in yards against, but i still contest that is not fair considering how weak of an offense they had.
OK u all missed me, THEY WERE NUMBER 1 rush D before the injuries caught up with them. forget it, i wasnt saying anything about great, stating a fact and none of you picked my point up. and miami should be scratched from that list, if great defenses win championships, then very good Defenses make it to the playoffs and miami hasnt done either in a while. they have talent, but also age and no playoff appearances in the last 2 or 3 years. for those of u who think i think philly is number 1, id put them at 10 FYI
