As a member of the U.S. basketball team, Iverson will be in Puerto Rico at the end of the month for the Olympic regional qualifying tournament in San Juan.

"The whole island is abuzz," said Desi Perez Diaz, who traveled from Puerto Rico to coordinate yesterday's event. "It's like Ricky Martin is coming."</div>

Looks as if Iverson want the citizenship award! This is truly a great thing for him to do, he needs to recognize his fans afrom all around the world! Tournament winners will receive a trip to Philadelphia to watch a 76ers' game and spend time with Iverson.

True, but many are too overshadow with the Kobe case nowadays to realize anything else is happening. But it is good what he is doing, trying to put some light on himself, in order to show people that he really isn't a bad guy at all.

I always pictured him as a mild guy. I mean hes very silent and has learned lessons that will affect his life. The Bowling Alley incident, the friends cocaine in AI's Benz, and the gun incident last summer destroyed his image to the public and media tremendously. Except the minds of the die hard Iverson fans. The ones who look up to him, like myself. Sure he may be guilty of some issues, but this guy is an American Hero. Hes changed the league with his talent and heart, he sets goals for future players to reach. To me, this guy is the best!
