    <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Houston Rockets have signed free agent Adrian Griffin to a contract, general manager Carroll Dawson announced today. The 6-5, 230-pound guard/forward has averaged 5.3 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.15 steals in four NBA seasons with Boston and Dallas.

    “Adrian brings a defensive tenacity to the floor,” Dawson said. “He is a tireless worker and his hustle will provide a spark for our team. Our main focus during this offseason has been to add players that will be a good fit in our system and Adrian is just that.”

    Last season, Griffin averaged 4.4 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.04 steals in 74 games with the Mavericks, starting 48 times. He led Dallas with 2.69 steals per 48 minutes, ranking ninth overall in the NBA. On the Mavericks, Griffin ranked third with 77 steals, fifth with 264 rebounds and fifth with 105 assists. His free throw percentage of .844 placed him fourth on his squad. .</div>

    Dam... Good signing i was hoping the Raptors could get him but they had no interest in him. Hes a great defender and can hit the open shot. I wonder whats going to happen to Raja Bell maybe he will re-sign.

    Rockets made this is a even better deal...they got him real cheap

    <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">But by then, Dawson had signed Griffin, a free agent after two seasons with the Mavericks, to a two-year contract worth, according to sources with knowledge of the deal, roughly $1.5 million, the minimum for a player heading into his fifth NBA season.
    </div>

    1.5 million for 2 years? thats pretty good...and according to the article they have not said if they are going to match posey or not..strange...unless they are planning a sign and trade?
