Recently on ESPN.com they had an article on the Cavs starting lineup. It looked like this...LeBron, Ricky Davis at the 2, DMiles at SF, Boozer at PF and Zydrunas.

Then they said Kevin Ollie will be the first player off the bench. They also said if they will trade anyone it will be Dajuan.

Dajuan is a much better player than Kevin Ollie, but Ollie is the better pg. I think the Cavs are giving up on him to quickly. With LeBron at the point, I think they can get away with a small 2 guard.

Yes, Dajuan seemed very one dimensional but he was a rookie, 1 year out of college. The kid was 19 years old. He can score. He was hurt alot last year also, and don't look at his pathetic 35% FG number and judge him.

I am kind of biased towards him, but I think he is a future All Star.

If anyone needs to be given the ax it is Darius Miles. He fits the description that you gave Chris Duhon in the NCAA Hoops Forum. Miles came in his first season and averaged 9.4 points along with 5.9 rebounds per game and 1.2 turnovers per game. Because these are excellent stats for a rookie everyone predicted a bright future for Miles. Two years later these are his numbers - 9.2 points per game, 5.4 rebounds per game, and 2.66 turnovers per game. Is it just me or has Miles gotten worse since his rookie season? Miles was an okay rookie, but that's it. He hasn't gotten any better. Dajuan on the other hand still has some opportunities to prove himself. As you said, last year was only his rookie season. People shouldn't give up on him just yet.

You mean Chris Duhon, not Dahntay Jones? Dahntay Jones was a big bonus when he transferred from Rutgers.

Anyway, I definately think Darius Miles should get traded. He still can't hit a 15 foot jumper. He is just athletic, block shots and dunk that is all. Darius Miles, as the #3 pick, people were saying how good he will be and how athletic he is after his rookie year, and he never improved. I don't think he has literally gotten worse, but he still hasn't produce like he is supposed to.

And I already think that Dajuan has proven he can score. Yeah, his numbers kind of dropped of but thats normal.

I want to see Dajuan play a whole season and see if he can stay consistant. This past year was riddled with injuries for him. Oh yeah, and I meant to say Duhon. I edited it. Sorry, Jones was just on my mind.

Too bad he probably won't get more than 18 minutes a game or so. LeBron will be playing 30+ MPG, and so will Ricky Davis, and then when you have Kevin Ollie off the bench first, Dajuan won't get much time. If he started, and played good time, he would be an 18 ppg, 5 apg, 4 rpg player.

Don't look at it as a bad thing. I think it will be great bringing Dajuan off of the bench. It adds depth to the second line. He could make a run for Sixth Man of the Year.

I can see them moving Dajuan into the starting lineup during the year and moving Ricky to SF, Dajuan at 2, and LBJ at the point. Or, I hope that happens.

I think Dajuan should be traded for a power forward or small forward or both. Dajaun will be a geart player. He needs to improve his shooting % tho. I would do a Wagner for Peterson,Bradley trade. We have Alvin Williams who could guard the sgs and wagner the pgs.

You would do that trade, but the Cleveland Cavaliers General Manager wouldn't. They would be getting another Shooting Guard who has less skills and less potential along with another white college player who's game never translated to the pro game. They don't desperately need a Power Forward. Boozer can suffice for now. I agree with STCBBall3. They should play James at Point Guard, Wagner at Shooting Guard, Ricky Davis at Small Forward, Boozer at Power Forward, Ilgauskas at Center, and either trade Miles or bring him off of the bench as a sixth man.

Peterson=Small Forward. I doubt Cleveland would do it either.

Yeah, going with that lineup they could have Dajuan cover the PG, LeBron D the 3, and Ricky guard the 2, and Dajuan's size wouldn't be a big problem.

Raptors21, don't try to tell me what Petterson play. I have been following him since he was a 16. Petterson plays both Small Forward and Shooting Guard.

I watch all the Raptors games he starts at Small Forward. He can play both tho.

I believe it is. Morris Petterson is a Shooting Guard who plays some Small Forward on the Raptors.

i agree with Spartafan, look at Darius Miles? he hasn't grown or developed at all since his time in the nba.. in fact i think hes gotten worse and i would think of trading him before Wagner. They've got a very young team, but there still very talented and i think a PF is needed, hopefully one with some experience.. Ricky Davis is going to have a top season!.. id like to see Dajuan develop his game into what could be a consistent starting position for the cavs. I think he has a bright future..

    ps. mo-pete plays both.

    Darius Miles
    00-01 - 9.4 ppg, 5.90 rpg, 1.54 BPG, 50%FG, 1.81 turnovers
    01-02 - 9.5 ppg, 5.50 rpg, 1.26 BPG, 48% FG, 1.95 turnovers
    02-03 - 9.2 ppg, 5.40 rpg, 1.03 BPG, 41% FG, 2.66 turnovers

Wrong. Darius Miles has literally gotten worse.

Numbers going down doesn't mean he has really gotten worse in skill.

Allen Iverson shooting percentage has gone down, and his ppg, does that mean he has gotten worse?

iveerson and miles r different. iverons needed to be less selfish and give his teammates other chances. the cavs needed miles to score and he wasnt able to step up/
