Why Did Memphis Sign Posey When They Need A PF/C?

    Why Did The Memphis sign Posey when they need a PF/C

    They have Person, Miller, Battier, and Dickerson. Then they drafted Bell, who is a Shooting Guard/Small Forward and Jones who also is a Shooting Guard/Small Forward. Where does Posey fit in?

    So far Jerry West has made some stupid moves. I hope he will bring in a PF or C

    Signing Posey was a great move in my opinion. Sure, they need someone who can play Center or Power Forward, but there weren't any decent players that fit that description and wanted to play for the Memphis Grizzlies. Posey was the best player available. He'll be our new starting Shooting Guard and get anywhere from ten to fifteen points a night. Great move by West.

    Is Battier not better then Posey? Battier could score, rebound, and play nasty defense. Posey didn't really do anything on the Rockets we have enough Shooting Guards and Small Forwards to fill those spots and Dickerson is coming back now.

    rumour has it..battler and person could be traded to the rockets along with swift...so thats why they signed posey to an offer sheet..

    I really like the Posey pick up. Just because you need a PF/C doesn't mean you have to do that and can't improve your team somewhere else.

    Allnet, can I have some details on this Grizz-Rockets trade? Does this trade involve Cuttino Mobley, or Eddie Griffin?

    Yes it said to involve Mobley and maybe Mo taylor....i think the rockets are set for a trade..check this article out involving james posey and if they will match the offer..as JP is not a grizzle YET

    i was pissed when they signed Posey..There is no need for him they should be givin Battier mins before they even think about signing Posey..All Posey is gonna is mess up the future of are young players like Stromile and Shane

    Why do you think that it is a bad move? We could always use a helping hand. Posey averaged ten points a game on Houston. He also started on them. Imagine what he could do with us. And I think that he will play Shooting Guard over Person, not Small Forward over Miller and Battier.

    he will messed up players that play that position because he will take min oway from them in my opinion that was on necessary move

    This was a good move contrary to some beliefs,their were no quality centers for us to go after that wanted to sign with us so we took the best player possible who wanted to sign with us regardless of position.Posey isnt a trouble maker and he wont hinder Battier or Miller
