<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Larry Brown said he's tried calling a couple of times, but hasn't talked to Allen Iverson since they had their end-of-the-season exit interview - before Brown quit as 76ers head coach and took the job with the Detroit Pistons.

That will change this weekend in New York when the two join the rest of the U.S. team as they begin practice for the Olympic qualifying tournament later this month in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

"I never see [Iverson] in the summer anyway," cracked Brown, who will coach the United States at the 2004 Olympics in Athens, Greece, should they qualify. "I don't think anyone does.

"But I'm real excited about it. When he got selected, it was a big thrill for me. I'm looking forward to seeing him. I know how excited he is. I've looked forward to coaching him in this type of setting."</div>

Thats nice that Brown is still trying to keep up the friendship. It made me feel good when Sixers fight for an amazing victory and AI and Brown exchange smiles. In some ways, I miss Larry, but others I dont.

    Here some reasons I dont

    1. Pressured Billy about trades
      2. Never took risks
      3. Always gave a needed shot to the wrong player (VanHorn)

Why do you think he didn't need to take shots at Van Horn. What he said is true, Van Horn is a pus*y. Some of the games we lost last year is because he didn't step up and play. I was tired of his ass, I'm glad that he's gone.

Why shouldn't he take shots at Keith Van Horn? Keith Van Horn cost the Sixers alot of games last year with his soft play.

I hated him, everyone hated him, even the journalists. Many labeled him as soft, scared, unwillingful, among other things. I agree.

Yeah, he didn't help the Sixers at all. I don't know what Layden thinks when he makes these deals.

Glenn Robinson can't play D but I am glad the Sixers got him and Jackson. They had some toughness, and rebounding ability I think.

From the first game against the Magic last year, I knew that he wasn't going to help the Sixers at all.

I knew when he got traded, I didn't need to watch a game. I followed him a while in his Net days, pitiful. To think he was being labeled as becoming a superstar and all.
