It won't let me flatten the image, then when I go to colorize, it only changes the outside of the object.
try Layer>Merge Visible. you cant colorize the entire image until the layers are merged/flattened <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Vintage:</div><div class="quote_post">Great job. But why did you have to ruin it by putting Jalen in it? J/K....(its not ruined....... I just am anti-Jalen)</div> haha. the picture was easy to edit. i'm not entirely pro jalen.. i'd trade him in a second if we could get a better defender who can score halfway decent

make a new layer, copy the pic of KG (or whoever you're using) and paste it onto the new layer. colorize it (image>adjust>hue saturation) so it's the same color as the background and then change the opacity (see the layer pallet) of the pic to a number in the 50's or less. then copy and paste the original pic on top of it in a new layer.

I have a couple more questions. How do u mae a cool background like in your amare pic, and i downloaded a font, and its not in photoshop, how do i get it in there?
installing fonts: http://bluesugar.org/em/tutorialfont.html As for backgrounds, I use the wave filter a lot (filter>distort>wave) and the lense flare filter (filter>render>lense flare). there's lots of sites that have tutorials, such as voidix.com, spoono.com, teamphotoshop.com, stridingstudio.com/tutorials
