HOUSTON -- As you watch the Denver Broncos offense practice, your eyes somehow always make their way to the orange shoes of the player wearing No. 26. There's no way to avoid it. He is not alone in wearing the stylish colored shoes, but what makes his stand out from the rest, even in the middle of a scrum of 300-plus-pound men engaged in trench warfare, is what happens inside them. These are the feet of Clinton Portis, the Denver running back who burst onto the scene last season as a second-round pick and went on to become NFL offensive rookie of the year. His feet give him one of the most distinct running styles in the league, allowing him to dart into a crowded area, dance through the group of engaged players and find daylight, making him one of those hold-your-breath runners. It is this style, coupled with 4.3 speed in the 40, that makes him a to-the-house threat every time he touches the ball. Portis has what defensive coordinators fear, the ability to pop the big play at any time. Read the rest hear- http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/story/6559824
Its healthy Priest Holmes or Ricky Williams. He is young but he was liek 165 pounds last year and gained weight so he might be slower now.

Portis was listed at 185 but he admited to being 165 so he gained weight in the off season. He said he has nt lost speed but which player would say they have lost speed.
R WILLIAMS/ALEXANDER/FAULK/HOLMES/TOMILSON/ those are all the backs that are better then Portis becuase they proof it before that they were not LUCKY . PORTIS has to prove him this year.
