    I ususally post on SatelliteGuys.us and SiriusBackstage.com. Great sites for information about anything doing with DBS and SDARS (satellite TV and satellite radios). I hang on the Siri Yahoo and Raging Bull boards too.

    NFL-Forums has shown up on a lot of different boards across the Internet lately, especially those dealing with Sirius Radio...thus all the new members.

    Welcome to all of you! Hopefully we will all be able to get you guys involved in some good football talk.

    I am glad the Sirians have came in and proved the point. Really, it is quite humorius to see it happen. There are many who take it almost as a blood sport - me, I laugh and enjoy it.

    its almost like a hole in the wall restaraunt that you know everyone would love to eat at. viking moderator you should call the sirius marketing department maybe they would give you a system or one for a raffle for your members if you post a banner for them on your page. its' worth a shot.

    i agee it is comical but it should also tell you that many people are interested in the NFL products. by the way sirius is an excellent stock to have if you believe in the power of the nfl. Didn't the NFL make Direct Tv what it is . Sirius is only $3 dollars a share and there are around 300 million NFL fans.

    after last year what happened to our teams it is really difficult to talk about football. first of all the Rams had a chance for home field advantage then lost the stupid ass game to detriot and your team took over the home field -your team choked/sucked and martz a total idiot did us in in the playoffs. please i cant talk about this anymore tonight

    Sorry, the above was my second post. I'll try harder next time, lol. I just wanted everyone to know up front who I was. I love football and I love my Sirius too.

    Seems to me the Cowboys are even more hated now than during the old battle of dynasties, the Steelers and the Boys. That was some kind of good football. I watched Texas Stadium being built and the Cowboys were a religion back then. The had real heros.

    <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (sawzall)</div><div class='quotemain'>
    Only a certain number of folks will be interested in listening to a NFL game on Sirius. Folks who can't get the game on TV or those who live outside the local area of the team they support. Local listeners - won't. The reason is the delay - the call of the game will be *at least* 12 seconds behind the actual game. So it won't be like you hate Brent and Herb or what ever numbskulls who are calling the game for Fox and you want to listen to your guys.

    You will see the play - and then 12 to 15 seconds later, you hear the play by play? That won't work.

    </div>

    Hey Sawzall, what about the people that want to keep up with other NFL teams that are not playing on TV? What about the people that are not able to watch TV on a Sunday or have to go out for another 6 pack? You know, the fantasy leaguers and the people that like to speculate on the outcome of a game or even people that want to hear both set of announcers for a particular game. As far as any delay, have you heard of a Tivo or DVR to sync the sound with video?

    You sound just like Frontmed on the Raging Bull board.

    I won't argue with the Sirians here... at least about the service. I can see the value of it for those folks whose needs meet its limits. But please goddess don't buy the stock without very heavy research (and the same could be said about XM) - they are high risk ventures with a strong possibility of losing your investment. Neither has ever turned a profit, and will not for at least several years at best.

    That being said.. back to football. The return of Joe is a godsend. Yep, I have drank the Koolaid. I shop at Home Depot, buy only Interstate Batterys, etc. The return of sanity to the coaching offices of the Skins after years of Martyball or AirFlorida (that never had a QB that could throw!). It was hard to see Champ go, but his dollars lets a team start again - much like JJ did for Dallas with the trade of Walker (although in the cap limited world, you couldn't do that trade today).

    At least when I spend my $85 for a ticket this year I know I will see a well coached team on the field, not a college team in "drag" so to speak.

    I feal for you having to put up with the "ol ball coach". He was terrible. I hope the skins contend in the East this year because I'd like to see someone other than the eagles win the division plus portis is one of my favorite players to watch. Swazall go to the skins forum because I'd like to get your opinion on the brunell ramsey situation.
