I live in D.C. and was able to witness Mike play in every single game these past two seasons and it pains me that he will not even be allowed to return to his old position. Why he should be re-hired: 1) Wes Unseld was the president/GM for all those years before MJ arrived and made horrible, horrible choices. Look how long he has been the Wizards coach and then the GM/president and look how little progress has been made. How could MJ possibly be any worse than Wes? It just proves that the owner lets personal vendettas get in the way of business... 2) MJ and the owner agreed to the deal so that MJ would come back. The owner offered no solid reason for firing him. Well thats it really for that case. Anyway, I think the team that MJ was with in his 1st season as a Wizard would have made it to the play-offs. They just needed more time to blend together. MJ was their leader, Rip Hamilton was their second star and was rising skills wise, Kwame would have gotten more playing time, Brendan would get more time, Hubert Davis would be able to add his solid shooting, C Whit would add his fitting game and go well with Ty Lue, I mean the 1st season team would have succeded if given more time.
