i heard he asked to be released, and ill tell you why he will be a eagles

1-Grew up in philly, still lives here and has family here(i know his nephew)
2-Friends with Jevon Kearse, and Jon Runyan who blocked for eddie in eddies prime, since Runyan left Eddies numbers havent been the same.(just pointing that out)
3-Eagles have the best chance to win the SB of the 3 teams he mentioned(Tampa, Dallas, PHilly)
Tampa-average team in a tuff division, not going to go to the SB
DAllas i think will take a step back and be 8-8, no chance either

Its all in Andy Reids hands now, and i think hell pull the trigger, he realizes this is the year and is going balls out to win this year, Eddie would complete the puzzle IMO. All AR has to do is sign him to a 2-3 year deal with a base salary of 2 million with incentives. id say 95% chance he comes.

yea GF1 hell do that, BTW i may overrate Eagles, but i never make up ridicilous stats, and idiotic statements like that, and also its Eddie George news more than eagles news, and EG is a fan favorite so yea...

and NFLfan, i dont think hell help the run game, we already have 2 4.0 YPC backs, that are very quick and good down hill runners. itll more helpthe passing game(we dont have a back that can pass block) and leadership roles.

-TAmpa just signed Charlie Garner so another reason he probably wont go to tampa,
-Dallas i could see him go there,, but only if he wants money over a ring
-John Clayton just said on SC that Oakland makes the most sense out of any team, he said because Oakland has no other 20 carry back besides Wheatley(since when do u need 2 20 carry backs?) and they love EG...but thats why john clayton is a expert and im here bored as hell

I won't say he isn't going to the Eagles, but it would seem like a very expensive investment for a running back that will not help the running game. It would be for the same reason that I am not sure Dallas would want him either.

Your Oakland idea is a little intriguing, but based on Eddie's comments, the Raiders would probably have to put a bunch of $$$ in his face to get him.

Number 1 dawk, tampa wouldnt sign eddie to be a primary starter. Philly is not a lock to get eddie george eithier. Oakland has alot of interest in him also. This isnt about winning a championship. This about him going to a team and getting playing time.

The onle way the Eagles would sign him is if he plays for the minimum. And frankly, I would not pay much more then that. IMOP he's DONE.

I hope the eagles get him george so it keeps carries from buckhalter and westbrook and you'll be introuble.

The most important reason EG will become an Eagle is because Dawk said he would. After all, he is the oracle. Note the sarcasm.

Duce Staley currently has more upside than EG and the Eagles let him walk.

I, personally, am curious & would like to see if Dawk's boyz (Buckhalter and B West) can shoulder the load @ RB. Though, the running game is immaterial now that Philly has TO. Again; the sarcasm thing.

Speculation in detroit is the detroit lion are very interested in eddie george to tutor the younger backs. The lions also have alot of money and want someone like george who brings leadershipto the locker room.
Sounds like it could be kevin jones and eddie goerge spiltting carrys. We will see alot of speculation

BA i dont like BUck FYI, hes a problem off the field, is a 1 dimenson back like he cant catch or block, he can only run, but hes a good runner that will have a good year, and Westbrook is good for what he did last year, touch the ball about 10 times a game, hes to small to get more than that and has injury problems and a injury history, thats it tho. EG and Duce are about the same now, duce was and still is overrated and ive said that for the last 2 years.

Dawk one thing about philly fans i notice. Everytime you have a star player leave philly they go fron being a good player to being overated and not good at all. Its typical i heard this with hugh douglas, jermaih trotter and now duce. Im not saying its you but i have other philly fans in aol public football chat and alot of eagles fans are that way.

Duce was great in philly and because your ownership didnt wanna resign him doesnt make him bad. Duce would still be there if he got an offer.

I don't think Philly needs Eddie George. Buckhalter and Westbrook are very solid backs. With them two taking turns pounding through the line defenses will have some serious trouble.

George won't end up in Oakland either. They have 7 backs on their roster now and one more would be just plain silly. Especially one at the end of his career.

George is pretty much at the end of his days due to injuries. He has about 2-3 years left, then he's most probably going to retire. Even though i think this, i still think he's a great investment for any team that needs a moose in the backfield. Den and AZ
