I got this idea from a thread sjhoops44 made in the NJ Nets forum <font size="1">Buy or Sell that the Mavericks have become the team to beat in the West because of their off-season moves?</font>
Sell. It's simple. The Wolves and Lakers improved themselves much more in the off-season and are a step ahead of the Mavs.
Do i need toset you guys straight again, I am buying, look at this Nash , Finely, Jamison, Nowitzki, four allstars at the peak of their careers. This is the team to beat.
Sell. I think the Spurs, Lakers, and Twolves are still better. Did this trade magically make their defense better? Only slightly. It won't be enough.
What? the Mavs are the team to beat the only one who can stop them now is the Sacremento Kings. Lakers and T-wolves will have a bunch of chemistry problems
You don't know that for sure. What if the Mavs have chemistry problems due to Jamison? I'm not saying it'll happen, but it's just as much a possibility as the Lakers and TWolves.

Buy - The Mavs are the best team in the west IMO. Nowitzki is a year older and a year better. nd adding Jamison only makes them better. As for the bulls. I sale. I don't think they make the playoffs this year, still too young. Give it 3 more years and they will be contenders.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting BC:</div><div class="quote_post">New Question Buy or Sell, Bulls make the playoffs</div> BUY. Eddy's gonna be the most dominant center in the East. Tyson's gonna start rebounding like no one's business, and Crawford is turning into a good PG. They've got the veteran leadership from Scottie, Jalen, Corie Blount, Marshall, and maybe Kendall Gill. Not too many teams in the East are going to be able to compete with the Bulls, and the Bulls should be able to win against the lesser Western conference teams.

Thats a good point, Didn't they draft Hinrich to play point? Was he ever signed?
Mavs teeam to beat - Sell. The lakers also have 4 all stars, but 2 of them are the best of the best, un like the mavs, the twolves also have a pretty damn good team, although i do think they are better than the kings and spurs bulls making playoffs - Buy, i think they have a decent team and have a shot at the 7th or 8th spot in the east
Mavs team to beat -- Buy, c'mon, Lakers might have 4 all-stars, but their chem might not work out since it's usually just SHAQ 'n KOBE hogging the ball...they won't make a heavy rotation in ball handling...as for the Wolves...yes they will be one of the better teams on the West...but not all the players play strong. (As well as the Mavs misses some of their D's too...) Bulls--Buy, they will be on the standings...but I highly doubt that they will get ECF or be the champs theirselves...maybe in a year or two?

On paper, the Mavs have the best starting lineup. 2 years ago, on paper the Sacramento Kings had the best lineup. The result? Lost to Los Angelas in 7 games. The Lakers added 2 HOFers in Payton and Malone. Say what you want about them being old, Payton is still one of the better PGs in the league. Together, Payton and Bryant form a great defensive backcourt(name a better defensive backcourt). Malone is a good player still too. He gives the Lakers rebounding, and more importantly, consistency at PF. Adding 2 new starters can be difficult, yes, but remember, these guys are very experienced and will "fit in," rather than "star" in LA. The Lakers will be fine. I think the Lakers and the Spurs are still ahead of the Mavs. Possibly even the Wolves. Its going to be a great WC playoff bracket. But I will sell. And I await your "setting me straight." Bulls- Buy. We will squeek in with the 8th seed. For the right to lose to NJ in Rd 1. We are adding veterans, which should def. help us on the road. We were a playoff caliber team at home. We just need to win on the road(lack of experience hurt us).

Woody Piage? thats exactly the kind of thing he would say The teams to beat Spurs and the Lakers...SA are the real team to beat because this is the defending champs....Spurs are the best til proven otherwise. It has been the same with the Lakers over the years...til someone knocks them off they are the favourites..
Bulls- Sell. The eight playoffs teams that made it last year are better than the Bulls still. Except for the Bucks, but I'm looking for the Wizards to take their spot because they also should be better than the Bulls.
