http://espn.go.com/nba/columns/may_peter/1592560.html Even though the Celtics have made the the ECF and the 2nd round of the playoffs in the last two years they still fail to be on espn.com's list of the five best teams int he East, behind New Jersey Nets, that's fine, they are better than us Detroit Pistons, same story as Nets New Orleans Hornets, how do they get better when all they get in the offseason is the coach with the lowest winning % in NBA history Indianna Pacers, we beat them last year and unless Bender has a breakout year they won't change much Orlando Magic, they haven't gotten out of the first round
You're very right. The Celtics can't be better than any team that has Tim Floyd as their coach. The Magic have TMac, but have yet to get outta the first round. Sure they added Howard, but he's not what they needed. Talent wise, I'd say the Pacers are better, but they lost to the Celts, so that doesn't matter.
everyone keeps saying that magic are gonn a be a top seed team but they just barely make the playoffs. they wont be better than the celtics or magic this year
I don't think it is fair saying another team is better than the other just because they havn't got out of the first round..that isn't fair.As the Timberwolves have never got out of round one but have improved alot in the off-season..and are now considered a title contender by many...The Magic have made good moves in the off-season...they went about trying to get T-mac some help and they did.Juwan Howard is the 2nd scorer Mcgrady needs....They get a soild point guard in Lue....while drafting a good and big PG in Reece Gaines...they should be a top 5 seed....The Hornets should be not ahead of Boston though...as they now have a coach who has the worst winning % of all time....A team that has always had talent but never lived up to expections under a very good coach in Paul Silas they now have Floyd as coach...oh dear..they will have to win on pure talent as he isn't going to coach them to wins. The Pacers lost a key player in the middle...being Brad Miller...they will miss him more than people think and they havn't made any good moves to improve their roster either....
