I wouldn't call Payton unloyal since he was only on the Bucks for less than half of a season.

Does anyone besides Reggie really care what Reggie has to say?

well, Gary did stay with Sonics for a very long time...I mean 12 years isn't just a short stay. But agrees...except that he couldn't have loyalty for a team that was only there for less than a year.

Well when teams start to show loyalty maybe the players should also, but it isn't like that.

In Payton's case I disagree with Reggie's comments towards him. He did show loyalty to the Sonice but they traded him so they broke that loyalty not him. He went to the Bucks for less than a year so its not a big deal to me that he left for LA. Malone, on the other hand, is a different story. He has spent his entire career in Utah and they wanted him back. He did this just for a ring.

i agree with dexter...hes only hating on payton. why should payton show loyalty to either the bucs or the sonics? the team that traded him, or the team that he got traded to? he doesnt owe either teams anything.

i tend to agree with him about malone though...malone is clearly just ring hunting...he does owe some loyalty to the jazz

either way, i also agree that reggie's carrer is as good as done, and him talkin smack is about as tiring as my accounting class

Agreed. He could of easily gone to some other Western team for a better chance at a title but he didn't, I like that. He's truly loyal. Unlike a lot of other players.....

I don't get it...why do players owe teams? Especially in Malone's case when he gave all he had for something close to 18 years despite not getting along with management. What does he owe the team? Why do players have to show loyalty when the upper management is usually the first one get rid of a player when something better comes by?

How is playing 30-35 minutes a game bandwagoning? Reggie's reasoning is flawed.

What I don't get is why people say the Lakers aren't the best team or aren't going to win, yet when a player like Malone joins them they call them bandwagoners. How can you be a bandwagoner if you aren't gonna win supposedly?

What is Regina gonna tell his kids? I was a great player and was loyal, but I was a big loser. [IMG]

Reggie is a skinny little punk. He will want to take his comments back after Malone elbows him and knocks him unconcious.

I think it was wrong for Reggie to aim at Gary for going to Lakers (eve though I was shocked when I saw him in the jersey). But Malone on the other hand has been a Jazz his entire career. I mean, it's already weird enough that John Stockton isn't there with him, but he's going to be in a Lakers jersey where once he was always guarding Shaq, etc. Maybe it's not exactly bandwagon, but I kind of thought it was in the sense he gone to LA for the ring. [IMG] Let's just LET IT GO. It's THEIR decision, isn't it?

I agree with dexter, Why show loyalty to the team you were traded too, or the team who wasn't loyal to you and traded you?

In Malone's case...I woulda wanted him to stay with the jazz.. BUt he's just wants a ring. [IMG]

However, if he was talking about 'Zo, which he mihgt have had on his mind(he never actually said who his comments were being direct too), than i htink zo' should have had some loyalty to the heat. They paid him when he was injured for how many years now?(or did miami reach a "mutual agreement" wit 'zo?--SO Tired)

So--I'm pretty much All for Reggie's Comments. Other players have been much more hostile. And he has his right to an opinion right? I mean, whatif someone else said that?
