sigh...just trying to somehow keep this forum active. there arent any celtic fand here. but of the 1 or 2 of us that exist what do u guys think paul pierce is gonna do tihs year? Its hard to predict because he will be shooting much better this year as he wont be ridiculously fatigued from being forced to carry the national team like last year but he might not nessecarily score as much because hopefully the team will prove to have more depth. However I think he will score a career high because he will still be taking a lot shots (he has too) and will have a much better percentage becuase of the above fact and hopefully because of marcus banks. The same dilema exists for his rebounding and assist numbers. He's certainly capable of 9 and 6 but this year dishing will not be his job. if marcus banks emerges he wont have to run the offense like he used to and hopefully kedrick brown and jumaine jones and brandon hunter will make it so he doesnt have to do quite so much rebounding. My prediction all things considered: 28 7 4

26 points 7 rebounds 5 assists Difference from next season to last season...I feel he will shoot the ball alot better than he did this past year and take better shots...he was said to be burned from the the worlds...so I expect a better shooting year...I put him averaging 5 assists a game as he has always improved his passing and assists each year he has been in the league...so I think him averaging around 5.5 assists won't be far off....He also averaged 5 assists in the playoffs..
I really think Pierce has had a total transformation this off season, it seems he has matured and really feels comfortable with Doc and his decisions. It looks as if Pierce is very comopfrtable here in Boston, and hopes to remain a Celtic his entire career. Look for him to become that leader everyone has expected him to be, and look for him to be a little less selfish. I think his numbers will skyrocket and he will have a career year!
