If this deal happens...I will thank the raptors personally for helping pistons land a big name free-agent next summer :P as this would help pistons cap alot...as then we pistons would have like 9 million worth of cap space..might be more

GG is stupid, that was terrible... I wanted Hunter gone but not for this... Curry is overrated, has absolutely NO offence, and like Big D said, his defence is overrated too.

yeah ur right Raptors21, no other players were added.
oh well, this trade is still ok. we already have too many point guards so Hunter had to be traded and we needed a swingman and curry was available. i dont think GG could have done much better since nobody else wanted Hunter and he would have been waived anyway.

ugh...i dont want EITHER player, i agree with big D, curry's defence is overrated, and his offence is non existant, hes a liability on the floor, not just because of that, but because he has giant rocks for hands, iv seen him drop the simplist of passes on enough occasions.

chucky isnt a bad pick up and co-point guard to alvin, but we got milt, so whats the point in stocking up on pg's?

what we need is a center...and its really starting to piss me off that GG is doing all this wheeling and dealing, and theo ratliff's name hasnt come up once...or any other center worth mentioning..what is he thinking? the last thing the raps need is ANOTHER pg or sf...where does this leave both mo pete or lammond, now the raps have a log jam at that position, does this put lammond or mo up for trade bait? im getting less and less optimistic about the upcomming season

agreed, he would have been a good add-on to a deal that could involve some of the raps expensive aging players, a deal involving montross' contract, antonio davis, mammadou n'diaye and lindsay hunter could have gotten us a DECENT starter.

    :thumbsdow

Whats is so bad about the deal? We were just going to waive him. We got a Perimiter defender. He put up similar number to Raja Bell but he has much more leadership to help out Davis. He will just be a third string sf or maybe second string sg. He can help Jeffries on Defence and Lamond can help Jeffries on offense. He is expirering to. I say good deal.

The argument that Curry is an expiring contract is a moot one, since Hunter's is also, and for slightly more money at that.

It was basically a junk for junk deal. Curry only played because of Carlisle and O'Neill. We didn't want him, and with a Prince's breakout playoff performance and Nasty's solid play, he was useless. Now the Pistons have some flexibility if we want to trade Atkins.

Interesting, I thought Curry would eventually take a position in the Piston's front office. I guess it is still plausible for him and he will likely retire after this season. Joe Dumars once again makes a great move and the Pistons should be able to land a big name free agent next season.

why waive him? thats another stupid move imo...why waive great trade bait, like i said, packaging him together with montross' contract, mammadou and antonio could land us a pretty good player...or even still...where is our center? why trade for another small forward when everyone can see that the raps need a center.
