???? no clue. if i was him i would stay there, because his stats will go up and he could maybe get a pretty good contract when his contract runs out. (better than a backup contract)

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting txuonline:</div><div class="quote_post">van exel is getting old and he wants a ring... he is looking to move on to a team like dallas again.</div> Exactly,he would be prefect in San Antonio to back-up Parker..but that won't happen.....
Even if he demands a trade- I doubt it happens. Musselman will eventually get NVE to understand and be happy with their situation. Believe it or not, I think that they can be a contender for one of the bottom few playoff spots. They may even be better than last year. C- Adonal Foyle/ Erick Dampier Many people underestimate Foyle's work ethic. He has steadily improved his game every season, so no doubt that he will be better this season. PF- Troy Murphy/ Popeye Jones Troy Murphy- what can't you say about his work ethic? He added 20 pounds of muscle last offseason, and said that he will be working just as hard this summer. Jones gives the Warriors a backup PF to get rebounds (they never played Fortson last year, so this is an addition.) SF- Mike Dunleavy, Jr./Cliff Robinson Mike Dunleavy... I feel that he will be a candidate for most improved player this year. Although he played badly in the first half of the season, Warriors fans would have seen flashes of what he can do when he isn't nervous or too passive. Case in point- His first NBA start against the KINGS, he scored 19 points, 13 in the first half, and grabbed like 11 boards. Cliff Robinson gives them a good veteran backup. SG- Jason Richardson/ Mickael Pietrus/ Calbert Cheaney J. Rich is a good offensive threat, and is a good 3 pt. shooter. He can get to the rim and finish with authority. Pietrus, the rookie from France, is a good defender, and we can use some defense. Cheaney gives them a good backup shooting guard, and strengthens their bench. PG- NVE/Speedy Claxton This is where the Warriors succeed/fail. If they can convince NVE to stay and play the way he did last year with the Mavs, they will definitely contend for a playoff spot. Speedy gives them a good backup, and he is also ready to take over the starting spot whenever needed. The Warriors, based on potential alone, are a top 7-9 team in the west. They could be even better if they play together as a cohesive unit. I think that NVE and Speedy more than make up for the loss of Gilbert and Earl. They have a better bench than last year.
The Warriors are trying to make a run at Yao Ming when he's a free agent after next season.. that's one of the reasons they were trying to get some cap room. The trades of Fortson, Mills, Sura, and Jamison all help do that. Too bad they didn't trade Fortson and Mills BEFORE Arenas left... they probably could have resigned him.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting kobeonfire:</div><div class="quote_post">The Warriors are trying to make a run at Yao Ming when he's a free agent after next season.. that's one of the reasons they were trying to get some cap room. </div> Yao Ming is staying in Houston for a long time. Houston is a great city with alot of international influence(Asian) in the area. Houston has gone head over heels for him and he will for sure be staying with the Rockets. The Rockets are destined for future success and Yao knows that he is part of the cournerstone of this franchise. There is no reason for him to leave. You can dream all you want but he will be in a Rockets jersey for quite some time. On to NVE. I'm not surprised he demanded a trade. Like previously mentioned he is getting old and he wants a ring. He just came from a championship caliber team in Dallas. He doesnt need to money nor want it. He wants a ring. That is why he was in Dallas and that is why he is demanding a trade.

I was just stating a fact. Also, using the Asian population in Houston as one of the reasons that he's staying is stupid. Everybody knows that the Bay Area's Asian population is one of the largest in the country. He has one of the largest fan followings of any player here in the Bay Area. Having said that, I still feel that Yao's going to stay in Houston. He likes his teammates and Van Gundy's gonna be a good coach.

I doubt it will happen, but i iddnt know hosuton had a substantial asian populationn. places like NEW York, Bay Area, and Toronto come to mind when a big sian population ios metionede. but yea yAos gonna most likely stay in houston, and I agree about van exel getting old and wantigng a ring
NVE's only 31, the same age as guys like Mashburn and Allan Houston. He should have plenty of quality years in front of him, so people can calm down on the getting old thing. I think he'll clam down and accept his position in time. His disappointment is understandable though. Just in case GS wants to take offers, here's a list of teams that could use a quality PG: New York Indiana Toronto Boston Orlando Utah Seattle LA Clippers I'm definitely not saying any of these teams would trade for him, since some have young guys waiting to take the reigns, they were just teams I saw as weak at the PG spot to start the season.
